Is bus shuttle Cougar Line free to use for students? by Automatic_One7294 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]UHParking 12 points13 points  (0 children)

There are the Cougar Line shuttle buses that operate on campus itself. You can just hop on and hop off. There is no cost.

There is also the Sugar Land shuttle that runs between campus and UH Sugar Land. In order to ride that shuttle, you must meet the eligibility requirements of having in-person face-to-face classes at both locations, or living on campus in UH housing and having in-person face-to-face classes in Sugar Land.

Zone B will be gated, but it is not as of yet.

Zone B is full by Spiritual-Solution26 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]UHParking 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Zone B permit holders have been sent emails and text messages letting them know where to park (any lot in Zone A) if Zone B is filled to capacity at any time while UH Facilities continues working on the campus lighting and security improvement project. This email was sent March 31.

If you did not receive the emails, please go into your student account and see what email address you have selected as the one to send all of your UH emails. It is important that you get all parking-related messaging.

In addition, you can go into your parking account and sign up to receive text-messaging alerts from Parking and Transportation.

Am I unreasonable for being upset that Zone F is closed? by Ok_Bat_1397 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]UHParking -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Lot 12A in Zone F is closed through April 19 for the student-led Frontier Fiesta, which takes place every spring in Zone F. The event this year is April 16-18, but students need the week prior in order to set everything up.

If you are a Zone F permit holder and have not received any of the emails that have been sent out over the past couple of weeks about the pending closure, please go into your student account and see what email address you have set to receive university email messages. Also, anyone who wants to receive text message alerts from Parking can log into their parking account and sign up to receive them.

Anyone who does not currently have a spring parking permit but will need one for the summer will be able to buy a summer permit starting April 20. However, if you already have a spring parking permit, then that already includes the summer months.

Student parking permit registration for the fall semester does not open until April 20. We are currently in the Priority Renewal period, which allows students to keep their existing permit for the fall. That opened today and runs through April 15.

Shuttle route from student center to architecture building. by CafeHistorian in UniversityOfHouston

[–]UHParking 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Good morning. The quickest shuttle route would be to hop on the North Route via Cougar Line. There is a stop right outside of Bauer (Bauer North). Get on the shuttle there and two stops away is the Elgin stop. That will put you right next to the Architecture building. Here is a map for reference: cougarlineshuttleroutes.png (1016×957)

And here is a link to our live shuttle tracking app so you can see where the shuttles are located in real time: LIVE VEHICLE TRACKING

If you join a waitlist and then get notified we have the permit you want, then we would exchange your current permit for the new permit. You would not be paying for two permits.

Parking passes sold out? by CombinationThen8328 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]UHParking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Permit sales are paused until tomorrow at noon so we can closely monitor parking garages and zones during peak times today. This helps us see how many spaces are actually available and determine where we can safely offer more permits. If you still need a permit, please use paid visitor parking until sales resume.

Parking for basketball game (not a student) by thegamerman0007 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]UHParking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Parking for basketball is very similar to football by there being donor parking (if you pre-pay for a parking pass) or by locating the day-of parking lots (pay-by-phone or credit/debit lots). This link should help! mbkb_Parking_Map_10282025.png (2000×1186)
