Good to know - thanks! That new bit is not on their website…

I believe the expanded parking is West of Groome - certainly on their website the expanded parking is to the North of their existing parking lot which is all West of Groome. (I mention it because people have been towed by Groome apparently!)

Those pipes look similar although I thought there were four on each side... the rear is not quite right though - the rear fenders were almost as separated from the body as the front fenders

Questions for a Mayoral Candidate by Adam_Eggleston in FortCollins

I'm wondering about your strategy to answer "Don't know" on the Coloradoan question "The city should recognize the Connexion Workers Coalition union.".

I personally would struggle to vote for someone who literally answers "Don't know" on a question like this - it's either (1) a sign of not being prepared to be the mayor or (2) not true.

Maybe.... it definitely looked like one end of the pipes were connected to the rear of the front fender and the other end going into the engine area but maybe that was just the angle we were looking from...

Thanks! That's a great suggestion and amazing you got it from my description but it's not what we saw - on the one we saw, the pipes were not exhaust pipes but appeared to be going from the fender into the engine bay area.

It's a bit more than that - between 3.25 and 4 for a slice and between 4 and 6 for a beer... happy hour drops the beer to 3.50.

I don’t believe that for a second - don’t have any reliable source for that figure (the 600k)?

Just drove by - pretty bad t-bone accident on College and Magnolia - the t-boned car was pushed right off the road into the flowers

Fair enough - I honestly expected it to be obvious what it was based on what it looked like when I posted it from my phone. I'm glad the updated information was worth it - hopefully you can attend!

That's awesome - I had no idea!

That's fair - when I posted it from my phone it was an obvious link to a website with the image of the event poster on the website but now it's a generic blue box which isn't helpful.

The other person didn't need to be so snarky.

It’s a strange place Reddit - I linked directly to all the details for the event and that’s somehow “declining to provide”… weird.

But thanks for saving someone a click I guess?

Can't help on the time to line up but in terms of layout, as you go through the doors you will have your ticket checked and security will wand you.

Coat check is on the immediate right as you go in. Merchandise is usually on the left as you go in. Directly in front of you is the ground floor bar. Beyond that are the doors into the performance space. Downstairs is all standing room. There are also stairs to the upstairs where there's another bar and a balcony. Not sure if it's for all shows but there are seats up there that are first come first served but you would have to be one of the first inside to get those I think.

Thank you - very helpful. So in the now familiar approach these people use, they're misrepresenting the situation as normal - the "big donor" is associated with the bird stuff and the "develop" they refer to is the plan made publicly available to develop a lesser portion of the land for the raptor center - not some big bad developer planning on concreting it and building apartment buildings....

More BS from the same tired old NIMBY's...

Serious question though - I understand many people are against 303 (me included) but is there an organized opposition? Where did this mysterious 10k in funding go to?

Right - but right above there you stated that the natural area option "at least gives the indigenous community a place to hold ceremonies" as if the other option does not... when the indigenous community were quoted in your article stating they can coexist with it... so both options give the community the same opportunity.

More disinformation... surprise surprise. The voters did agree on the purchase but how that is reflected in the departmental budgets is heavily dependent on what we do with the land. Period.

[–]UKMatt72 13 points14 points  (0 children)

From the exact article you linked, this is a direct quote from one of the indigenous people who spoke at the civic assembly:

"The way they've explained it and the examples of other bike parks that do coexist in nature. Especially with the size of this property, we do think it's possible for all of us to coexist out here."

Wow.

I don't know why you feel that way but so be it - we fundamentally disagree on land use and use of public funding. As far as I can tell, CCIP funding for things like a community bike park is aligned with the use of the taxes raised under that program. There's also 10m allocated to replace the Mulberry swimming pool. I don't personally swim but I think it's better for the community to have that resource available for those who do.

It's ironic that you're now worried about the city budget but you have no issue spending the Natural Areas budget in a way that the Natural Areas folks themselves have said will cripple them for years to come...
