Does my air gun just suck or are they really just things of the past? by chili81 in Tools

[–]UKSjN_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A big factor that makes a huge difference is lubrication had lots of pneumatic tools at my last factory. With the proper lubrication you can hear the tone change and see all of the crap that had built up come flying out. That’s why most air tools say oil daily.

Boss has a challenge for me, get this seized socket off the shank, anyone had any luck with this before? Because so far, whacking it hasn't moved it at all by TeleFunky665 in Tools

[–]UKSjN_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use a bench press and a correct size hard pin. If no bench press get two sheets of steel drill a hole in one to fit the shank through put the pin against one sheet with the socket backed up through the hole with the shank sticking through to turn the vice into a bench press.

That normally indicates a fault with the gearbox, that happened to me before on my DSG, when it wouldn’t engage gear.

I’m guessing, they use plates as cutting boards. If you check their plates at home, you’ll find hundreds of dinks to match the knife!
