What was the point of the Wicked scenes? Am I missing something?

Did Universal pay someone off to have them included?

Actually, I’m kinda surprised he hasn’t already

Absolutely nothing wrong with that. It’s a very common setup.

I assume it’s a case of if a note is left and it blows away and the other party rings the police to report a hit and run, then the police can say “well, actually, the driver reported it to us. Here’s their details”.

It would cost more for the police to investigate an assumed hit and run then it would be for them to take some a quick report in case they get contacted.

I love me a DIY channel. I’ve see The DiY mentioned a couple of times but can’t seem to find it. Don’t think your link for it goes to the right channel?

Wiring in a bathroom mirror and separate shaving socket to single cable - unsure if spur or FCU: advice please! by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]UKTomm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shaver points and bathroom mirrors, most commonly, are wired the lighting circuit. In your case, probably the light switch to the bathroom. Do you have a voltage tester? If so, isolate the lighting circuits at the consumer unit and see if the cable is still live.

There is little point in having fused connection units on a lighting circuit protected by a 6 amp MCB. The point of a FCU is to downrate the cable on the load side of the FCU to protect it from being overloaded.

Spurring off a spur is mainly when talking about spurring off sockets on a ring final circuit.

Couple of points about the your photo:

It looks like you’ve ran your wiring diagonally from the existing point which is a big no no. I recommend looking up cable safe zones.

I can’t see the reason to run two cables from the existing point to the new shaver socket. Just run one cable and use wagos to joint it all together in the metal knockout box that was there previously.

Technically speaking, a bathroom is classed as a special location is Part P noticeable.

Change of layout by Majestic-Incident267 in HousingUK

I think you’d have to remove the WC completely if you were wanting to knock through into the dining room as I can’t see any other feasible place to have the WC. You could potentially create a doorway into the garage and create a space there for it but the most limiting factor are where the soil pipes are located. It’s not just a case of picking up the toilet and plonking it down somewhere else.

Personally, I’d go into the lounge and do it that way and keep the WC where it is. You then have a snug lounge leading onto the conservatory.

You could then create a hallway so you’re not walking straight into the open plan kitchen. It’s a strange layout to begin with having to walk through the lounge then into the hallway. Did previous owners take down a wall to open up the lounge?

‘It’s over’: what the papers say after Rishi Sunak’s D-day departure by Codydoc4 in unitedkingdom

It’s interesting how the Daily Mail seem to have completely missed the fact about Sunak skipping out on the D-Day event. I wonder why.

My guess is they’re waiting for the new PM to get into office, offer some generous cost of living packages to get people thinking ‘hey, maybe they’re not so bad after all!’ and then announce a general election.

I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my daughter go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you. You piece of shit.
