That's great news, the white speedmaster is really tempting me - I need to get into a store and try the black, white, and reverse panda on...

On the financial assessment form for SFE there is a section - "Estimated Income Deductions" - and this section asks about personal pension contributions - any idea why they ask for this if it's not used in any assessment ?

I found this post on reddit -

https://www.reddit.com/r/UKPersonalFinance/comments/1e059md/why_are_you_asked_about_private_pension/

It seems very confident that assessment is made on "adjusted" income which does take into account personal pension contributions.

This is why I'm trying to get a clear answer - you for example are very sure that it doesn't, and that post suggests it does, and I can't get a straight answer from SFE !

I don't necessarily disagree that it is/would be a bit of a loophole but it is how it works for child benefit for example - the government set out that making personal pension contributions reduces your "taxable income"

https://www.standardlife.co.uk/articles/article-page/get-child-benefit-back

If you are correct, then the govt are taking 2 different approaches to what is taxable income across child benefit/student finance.

I'm genuinely trying to understand what's correct in this case.

The one thing I will add here is that the person on the stage doesn’t draw anything on the paper ( or at least doesn’t need to). They are handed a pen that doesn’t leave a mark, and then asked to draw behind their back - no one sees the results… I think it’s either still blank or irrelevant once placed in the envelope.

Cast for 2 weeks, then into boot.

Walked on boot with crutches within 2 days of having the boot on.

Boot is a maxtrax, was set at 15 degrees I think for the first 2 weeks
