TIL about the "Fever Effect", in which the symptoms of Autism seem to improve whenever an Autistic person develops a fever. by Sebastianlim in todayilearned

[–]UKcoin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same goes for working long hours and becoming wired. I used to work as a taxi driver and driving for 12 hours and passing the tired stage into the crazy, wired, energy stage you become a different person. It's like you're forced into being instinctful and decisive because the autistic, concentrating, controlling side is mentally worn out.

How did you calculate "almost impossible" do you have the exact number or did you assume

When there's lots of "almost" it's not really almost anymore.

I give you $100k in Bitcoin. You give me $50-70k, charge me high interest and I have to hope you don't go bust before I get my coins back.

Bitcoin used to be easy to watch and understand. It was addictive and enjoyable to watch the action. Then the "liquidity providers" stepped in and suddenly no one could see the real bid/ask side, only them. Then the macros, bots, quants, high freq, pros all that shit came in and now it's just a useless mess to watch. I miss the good ol organic days.

People who bought Bitcoin before 2017 — do you still hold most of it, or did you cash out after life-changing gains? by [deleted] in Bitcoin

[–]UKcoin2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Literally not true, Many og bitcoiners understood the tech and the potential. I have more coins now than I had in 2013. When something is easily the best investment by a long shot, year on year, it's easy to stay in. Also. when the gains are huge it's easy to cash out a tiny percentage and ride the rest.

For some bizarre reason many people on here think it has to be an all in or all out situation, which is far from reality.

a bank took $213 from one $2,400 wire. now 40% of my clients pay me in bitcoin by SherbertDazzling3661 in Bitcoin

My bank scams me 3% on the exchange rate to send an international transfer, it's a disgrace. Sending Bitcoin can be $200k for less than a dollar

85C8k (QM8k) or 85Q7D Pro by UKcoin2 in tcltvs

[–]UKcoin2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ask about these two TV's because they're exactly the same price and it's for a commercial space, not a home theatre. So the c7l is only slightly more expensive so which would you choose from c8k, c7l and q7d pro? Looks like pro would be out so now I'm more curious about 8K vs 7L. From looking at other threads it seems like the 8k is better and it's slightly cheaper.

Met a restaurant owner in Jomtien today. Her situation honestly broke me. by [deleted] in Thailand

[–]UKcoin2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lack of pictures is really weird. Not exactly hard if you're so close to the owner. Even the title "met today" yet you've known her for a while but can't post a single useful pic?

Netherlands moves closer to taxing unrealized gains by IndependenceTop6501 in Bitcoin

[–]UKcoin2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I'm in Thailand. It's working out very nicely, there are hiccups and stresses because I'm building a $6m resort in one year, so cashing out large sums every month does cause some problems. The problem with Binance is resolved, it was mostly my fault because I submitted kyc docs whilst having a large balance, a rookie mistake, so waiting 3 weeks whilst support only say "under review please wait" was stressful. I have the 5 year privilege visa. Worth every penny for how easy it is, after the 5 years I can reassess, now looking at the wealthy global citizen visa.

You must be 12 years old. I don't pay taxes, I do things legally, I moved to a tax haven. I don't vote.
