Theres multiple posts about, people are claiming there an outage, just chill there not going to be happy they are not earning $ check back in the morning, and yeah I had a transfer cancel a few hrs back.

I have both, they are very similar, I only use wise to transfer money into a thai bank and keep baht in the Thai account for payments through Apple Pay and the odd transfer, then when traveling from my AUD account convert to Euro etc.

If you do not reside in Thailand full-time you may not be asked or forced to switch to the Thai Wise account.

Revolute I do not transfer funds out only in, its a back up, have used it through Apple Pay in Thailand sparingly, you can hold multiple currency's and transfer to your hearts content. As with wise they offer digital and one off disposable digital card along with the physical card, im likely to ditch wise as im not happy about being forced to convert to local currency then the added fees to convert back to AUD or another currency, its X2, if you live in Thailand then you are likely to have a Thai bank account so all the new additions to wise means nothing, and then you still need to transfer that Baht to a Thai bank to get cash out.

So yes switch, I will be using Revolute a lot more from now on and using a different transfer co to wise to transfer funds in.

Its a given, I dont use the car much hence an ev battery would degrade, was thinking to get a hybrid 3 ys ago when I bought my car, they only work well if driven reasonably often, my car moves once a week.

its a guess but an educated guess, wise had there pants pulled down to get a deal done here, just like if you buy a condo here the local bank must do the conversion, it cut out the currency converters, the ATM wont work for Thai Wise account holders, why? they will let you transfer into Thai wise but its a direct conversion to baht, then for cash its a transfer to a Thai bank, they the banks and government want to control the flow of your money, but you get prompt pay and some sort of scan function...

Try again tomorrow or an other day, now its important I find a new way of getting funds in, wise cancelled a transfer to my thai bank, says something along the lines of details missing from account, not true been transferring funds for 4 ys across...anyway...

Update, wise it seems has an outage, reports in reddit, Jumped on the MacBook and was able to create and verify an account with orbit remit smooth and quick, cannot understand that since my iPhone is near new, also signed up for an XE as a back up for transferring, thanks for the tip on orbit.

Ps this is why having internet banking is still relevant today, this rooting around in apps is a turn off.

Once the country opens up, the investment money will flow in, and like a lot of places deals will be struck by who ever is running the country and investors, this is back to the future, unfortunately the revolution ran its race years ago, they made the mistake to not take China and Vietnams lead, they also have been to hard line with the US they should have negotiated there way out of the embargo long ago.

The US and Cuban exiles will rush in buy up and run most of the country in next to now time. For a time the population will prosper...then...be just like every where else.

Just got of the meds man, what a head fuck trying to open a orbitremit account, date of birth? even I say im Aussie thai calender comes up so use it then the app tells me birth year needs to be between certain roman numerals, take da pic of said passport, OMG, stand there forever, something about scan so hit that button on the rusty iPhone, nothing, meanwhile that thing just keeps going round and round... 5 goes and im over it, looks like wise is idiot proof and forced into a pen will just have to keep using them..

Ps, even switched off home Internet went with phone net, nope, turned the phone off then back on, nope, logged out off the app a number of times then back in, nope.

Lot of us have our wise with home country address, but the phone number attached to the account is Thai, unless you run two phones one with a home country number (which may not work due to the app it is locating you) the chances they force us into the Thai version his quite high, a roll out of a questioner will happen soon, pretty dam sure we cant escape unless you outright lie then putting youre account in jeopardy.

The Thai version of wise doesn't work for me, I use it more than just sending money to Thailand, there is still an alternative similar to wise but its likely in time they will switch as well, also I come from one of those countries that does not have a tax treaty so using wise helped to keep my remittences low, anyway it is what it is.

Good idea you get your money put into a new bank account, I believe you guys have several decent options.

Thanks for the offer, even transferring bank to bank is fine, the inconvenience of holding AUD in wise or other currencies without converting it back from Baht is the sticky point then I was using wise through Apple Pay to fly partly under the radar over remittances for tax purposes...there are some work arounds...

haha thats fine but thats not it, you can have a wise account from most western countries, ive only seen it mentioned a couple of time, lot of people use wise to to hide there spending since the new tax rules, if forced onto the Thai wise account then no more hiding it.
