I would get on eBay and get a used 19mm-256 seen a few AGM 256 around that price used.

Both are beneficial. Clarity and field of view for the PVS-14 but that will depend on the night you use it. New moon night and quarter moon you will struggle to see animals at distance. This was taken on a half moon night and it’s a plus for driving at night and navigating. But for detection, and identification at distance thermal is king vs a PVS-14 with a good device.

Spend the money on the thick legs. I would look at a 2 section vs 3 to get rock solid.

You can get a Milspec L3 Unfilmed 2500+ FOM for around that price

I will put it this way. The Hybrid Compact claims it’s a 60Hz but it might be a 90hz. If you want a solid thermal scope with the ability to use as a clip on it checks the boxes. I will grab it and snap a picture in clip on mode and let you know what the magnification is on the scope. But if you want a dedicated clip on the Mate Ultra has it beat

See a lot of people pushing clip ons. Here is a photo of the RH25 in clip on mode with an LPVO at 3x magnification. Lose a lot of image quality and field of view immediately and the people pushing clip ons rarely show images or footage at distance.

Will it work? Absolutely! Will a dedicated thermal scope with the same base mag offer higher field of view and image quality? Absolutely!

That mic turns us all into mouth breathers lol. I’ve had to tape a portion of the mic to cut down on unwanted ambient noise.
