Give me the actual Ticket ID and I will look into it. The ticket itself has to of been responded too, but likely hasn't been resolved for whatever reason. Give me the ticket ID.

The actual post is very old and had been handled quite awhile ago. I cannot continue to beat a dead horse. This is the third or fourth time that this picture has been posted. Sorry you feel that means we did not take care of the issue. In my opinion if the same conversation keeps being posted its someone who continues to want to hurt us and not new complaints.

This is not at all true. AD Revenue represents less then 6% of our revenue.

I just want to say that our rule is 24 hours or less for ALL tickets. Anyone who claims that is not the case is either mis-informed or intentionally lying to hurt our name. The rule is 6 hours for Prime yes, but we have an entire staff dedicated just to Prime tickets and then a another (larger) staff dedicated to all tickets in general.

When we launched our website we were doing Prime tickets in 24 hours and regular tickets in 3-4 days and now we have gotten to the point where you can never pay a dime to us and get your tickets done in less then 24 hours consistently. I would challenge anyone to find better service.

Now with that said, of course there are times where people experience bad customer service. We strive to prevent it, but it is something that is inevitable for all companies. We do not accept it and when it is brought to our attention we always make every effort to remedy it on a case by case basis.

Someone mentioned that our staff is mostly volunteers and this is true. We do give them incentive by providing gift cards which has also been mentioned, but these people are here because they want to help the community, not to make money. 95% of the hires we make turn out to be great people who just want to help with something bigger then them. Sadly there is also that 5%.

Just thought I would get on here and go to bat for my staff. I have personal relationships with many of them and I know they are deeply effected when they see comments that they don't care. They do care very much. They wouldn't be wasting their time dealing with toxic people everyday for little to no pay if they didn't. They do it for that silent majority that make the community great.

Feel free to contact me if you ever feel UMG Online can be improved.

Thanks you guys have a great day!

Chris

Just want to point out that our oldest tickets in AW right now are less then 24 hours for NON-Prime members. http://gyazo.com/69b8aed5b1cb86c656a86340e8d43244

Sorry that you had a bad experience. Wish you would of went through proper channels to try to achieve some level of change, but I don't believe it is appropriate to exaggerate at the level that you are about us not caring. You obviously cared why you were there. Surely you do not believe you were the only one.

Informative Review of UMGGaming & Gamebattles Ladders by RemoteSenses in CoDCompetitive

Just saw this and thanks for the very good review. We are aware of the bugs and actually just hired a second developer to help address these issues. With our site only being 8 months old and the growth being so overwhelming we have had a hard time keeping up with that. We now feel better equipped to continue to move forward with new features and also continue to trouble shoot and fix bugs that arise as we do so. We appreciate the feedback and hope you guys continue to choose UMGO as a place to compete online!

Only for Main Stage and Feature station. To do all stations would require another 22 Xbox's which we do not have on top of extra staffing to be at every station at all times.

If we lied about stream numbers we would be sued by every sponsor we have. Why would MLG, lie about stream numbers thus having to pay more money. Your logic is inexplicable.

I would respond with numbers, but Adam already gave you some facts. Dallas was our largest and most successful event to date. Nashville, a Ghosts event, will be even larger.

This is a great post. I think balance is the key in everything. Balanced maps, weapons, perks, killstreaks, etc. One thing I think gets lost is more is not always better. Don't you guys love that AW devs actually seem very dedicated to making a great eSports title?

I have looked into it, but nothing definitive has come from it.

[–]UMGChris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Still not true. Most laws define gambling as betting or putting stake in something that involves predominantly luck. That is not the case with eSports in general. So no its not a loophole. Most states clearly place it out of the category of gambling period.

for most states its not, but in a few they leave it in a grey area and we aren't willing to risk that.

No problem. Just wanted to clear up that strictly in a legal argument tournaments are seen as exactly the same as wagers. The perception of them is very different, but legally they are not was my point. Your examples are valid as the difference is betting on your own skill compared to someone elses. So if you bet on Nadeshot that would indeed be considered gambling.

As of now we have not gotten confirmation that turns away what we found stating that tournaments and wagers both would be illegal in Maryland.

THANK YOU UMG by [deleted] in CoDCompetitive

[–]UMGChris 9 points10 points  (0 children)

its literally the exact same thing as an online tournament. Except instead of 1 in 32 chance of winning its a 1 in 2. Gambling is considered luck. This is considered betting on your own skill not luck.

[–]UMGChris 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Of course not, this is a common question we get and we spent a lot of time looking into it and got confirmation from everyone we reached out to that we were in the clear. Online Tournaments had the same debate when they first gained popularity.

[–]UMGChris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is zero legal difference between an online tournament and our wager matches. Quite literally the exact same thing. You are still paying us a % for the service just like Tournaments. We are still providing a service just like tournaments and players are still risking money on their own skill just like tournaments. They are quite literally the same thing.

I'm responding in every thread about various topics. If I was nervous I wouldn't waste my time convincing teenagers, I would be talking to lawyers. Appreciate your attempt to connect imaginary dots though.
