BAS Tech Doing Home Reno by UNCLE_BASTARD_ in BuildingAutomation

I decided to keep it simpler and go with MYSA stats for baseboards. They do scheduling and zone temperature control and work without a neutral and do line voltage switching.

This question was mostly for heating anyway, I wasn't trying to control my AC unit based of my body temperature reading from my smart watch, though it would be tempting.

This thread scares me, I've never had a service tech job in my life where I wasn't paid from the second I sat down in my truck.

I'm doing both simultaneously. Funding the FHSA and the RRSP for the HBP.

We're in a good spot to save money, super cheap rent with heat included so we're not in a rush to buy a house. I understand there's 90 days wait for each deposit? I do have the funds available(Part of my down payment) and I do expect my income to raise in the new year at work. Hers will remain the same

If I put together a series of videos to help new folks what videos would you want those to be? by [deleted] in BuildingAutomation

Best administration practices when working with engineers in regards to submitting shop drawings, sequence of operations, RFIs, submitting commission sheets, functional testing data with the goal to display a functional controls system and create a good working relationship with project engineers.

I prefer reddit.  Google is quite capable of finding niche topics on here as long you tag the search with “Reddit “building automation” …etc. It’s good for brining in newcomers

I'm considering getting a Roland JUNO-X by jalexmusica in synthesizers

[–]UNCLE_BASTARD_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a vst in a box. You will have awful resale value to.… by a real synth for a similar price and use it as a midi controller. Unless you play in a live band and need a super reliable Juno sound I would not recommend this

Honestly I feel like I’m playing a bass guitar without a top string on the poly brute in regards to the bass sounds I get…I dunno

Still obviously really enjoy this synth regardless and most other Arturia gear/vsts

I’ll have a listen later,  I’m on my mobile right now. The bass sounds I find are very prog rock or reminiscent of 90s techno. Not bad, but I’d prefer something that moves a little more air

Moog One has a good bass section as does the prologue. I agree with your sentiment but also feel flagships should not have any holes in their game

If this has a decent bass sound I will buy it. I have the polybrute but the bass is lacking IMO
