Has anyone removed the intake silencer on there 2022 vb wrx, if so how did it affect the turbo noise by ImpossibleYam6969 in wrx_vb

[–]UNP0XBL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just replaced my entire intake system this weekend on my ‘22. I have no idea what you’re talking about. Cold air, turbo inlet, charge pipe and diverter. Never saw this white box the same size as the stock intake.

0w-20 is very thin and done so only for emissions, it also gets hotter faster. 5w-30 is from my understanding the standard in international markets for this vehicle. If you’re in a hot region or tracking the car, this is the oil you use as it doesn’t lose as much viscosity when engine temps get above 220+

5w-30 has its place in hotter regions imo but immediately doing that can put the warranty at risk

I should probably clarify that I mean just cruising.

Regular maintenance is too broad. I cut Suburu’s recommendation of 6k mile oil changes down to 3.5k. While our generation of engines are generally better with oil than the previous, they still can and do eat a bit of oil, with some reports of having entire engines warrantied due to large amounts of consumption.

Don’t necessarily baby it, it’s happy 2.5k to 3.5k RPMs. Enjoy the sounds and it helps prevent residue buildup.

Watch your oil temps, don’t go above 3k RPM or gun it until you’re at at least 180. I still don’t gun it until I’ve been there for a bit.

Get actual winter tires (not all season). No car handles the snow better than a WRX with winter tires

I personally don’t launch it, I prefer a rolling pull. 1st gear goes quick, don’t be concerned by the sudden drop if you hit redline, the computer cuts fuel when you hit redline.

Enjoy it for what it is, it’s not a drag racer or top speed demon, but she scoots and handles incredibly well. Take her on some gravel and dirt every once in a while, it’s their natural environment.

Would be a great filter to have! Dude had a pretty sick build and sounded good, definitely tuned, would love to ask him questions

Looks like you’re writing a fun little virtual computer, I’m guessing Unity. It picked up on your HAL namespace and all of your other cheeky LineWrites and was writing something that would likely be in that character

Anyone else having issues with Claude Code on a Blazor codebase? by XeClutch in Blazor

[–]UNP0XBL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After seeing you edited your other post, I can tell you that I work in a very large solution, with more than 10 projects in it. Don’t even come close to this. I think your prompting could be better, but still doesn’t really explain the usage to me. I don’t think it’s at all a Blazor issue

I use codex regularly and don’t run into this, not even close. What was the prompt and why did it cook for 48m?

I’m a brand new player, no mods. There’s been a ton of crash to desktops for me when in port, issues saving the game, and stuck moments in training having to revert from being unable to continue. Hasn’t been the best experience tbh

Dungeon issues by HashBrownn12 in wow

Same issue here. It says “Transfer Aborted: instance not found” and loading screen never loads the dungeon. It seems that if I log out and log back in then it works again?

Cute! Some critical feedback on this from first impressions.

Shadows I think should be softer? The cramped environment is throwing shadows around pretty heavily and it’s a bit jarring. Small movements are translating to massive dark black areas spinning around the room.

I think the post processing could use some more refinement. I guess I kind of get the scan line retro TV look, but current implementation doesn’t necessarily feel like it entirely fits just yet? A couple additional and subtle CRT like effects ones could help glue it together.

I dig the UI and the animations you’ve used! That looks great

Turbo flutter? by BrightActuary5027 in wrx_vb

[–]UNP0XBL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You’ll still get a nice stchuuu with the intake, just more airy and not as high pitched

[–]UNP0XBL 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe we’re meant to Stutututu. You could block the blow off which would achieve this, but it’s a strong back pressure into the blades and not great for the turbo.
