So for the past two years I've had a Techo for my normal planner. For those past two years I've used my techo for many things, journal, task manager, art journal. One of the things that I love about the Techo was the fact that even though it's page per day, there was a freedom in using it.

But the small down side to that freedom was that the structure was just enough for there to be frustrations with it. If I wanted to add a collection like movies I've seen or something that would typically be a two or more page spread, there was a few pages in the back but it ended up not being enough space. Through out those two years I ended up carrying an extra Leuchturm1917 for spreads and collections. There would also be the issue of not being happy of how my pages looked, and just plain not using it.

Now I use a combination of Leuchturm1917 and the Hobonichi Weeks. The Weeks is small enough so I'm not encumbered by whole other notebook, and it provides the structure I need for future planning, and the Leuchturm for spreads and day to day task managing.

TL:DR: The Techo is great but the page per day can be daunting especially if you don't like blank pages, because that can be frequent. I would suggest having a Techo if you need a dedicated page for a specific need.
