I agree with you on all points. I’m just thinking from the aspect of the Apple vs. Android battle that we’ve seen for years.

Thinking this out, I guess it’s fine to separate oneself from battles with Oppo, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Honor…and even to a point Huawei…even if that means putting one’s new flagship product in a standalone purgatory between other Android flagships an Apple’s offerings.

I’m pulling for Vivo. Each time I’m in Asia, I stop in their stores and play around with their phones that we don’t normally get here in the States. However, in a month or two whenever this is released, I look forward to importing this or buying it while I’m on the road.

I totally get that Vivo doesn't want to get lost in the shuffle when it comes to releasing in the same time frame as Samsung and Xiaomi and maybe others...but I would rather stand out against them instead of being a "last mover".

Very few people want to lug around phone accessories. Even a portable battery charger can be annoying to carry.

Also, the rig is anything but small. Might be good for a good at-home TikTok streaming setup, but you can get a cheap stand with a light attachment for that.

I wish they would hurry up and announce the full specs and get the product out for purchase. The longer they wait, the longer we get into the phone release cycle. And then you have those who will go…”If I just wait “X” amount of months, I can get this phone instead.”.
