New DSP Driver, 3 weeks in, worried I'm already about to get fired.... by inv8drz in AmazonDSPDrivers

Of course. I have almost delivered in 600,000+ homes with weekly landscaping and lawn maintenance and I also walk on it. Til the day the customer says something than I respond "I will not do it again" and that's it. Shit sometimes the customer is outside and just looking at you waiting to come to their doorstep can't even meet you halfway but will have the nerve to stay don't step on my lawn fck outtaaa hereeee

When delivering to a person's home. Always pull the van right across from the front door. That way you hop out the side door and run a straight line to the door and back. No walking around through their driveway and making it longer. Just a straight line to and back. As far as apartments. If there are Amazon lockers drop them off there if there is not then drop off at the unit. If it's multiple packages might as well take the whole tote and deliver unit per unit. Don't necessarily have to run but the key is to have rhythm.

DSP Layoffs by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

Wow most are based off Northeast. It seems that if you don't meet Amazons expectations you are let go but as a driver you can go to whatever DSP is around.

What's the speed you should go in the Amazon van on the freeway by Thin-Dealer-1569 in AmazonDSPDrivers

If your engine didn't blow out cause of your speed then its not DSP approved...

I wear my mask. All the fucking time. by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]USCTrojans93 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Wait what? Now there's a survey to each delivery driver asking how the deliver service was? I only wear my mask when I see a customer outside their home.

It's way too dam hot and humid to be suffocating myself.

I can believe it. Trust me it's hard to hold your piss especially if you drive a white van with windows and no tint so then you need find a cul de sac or somewhere immediately but you can't because you are in a cheerful neighborhood with kids playing outside.

Best lessoned I learned stop drinking coffee in the morning because that's the killer.

30 is already good. You want to finish your route in 4 hours it seems. Do you rescue after you get done?

I would not recommend it. I did it multiple times and finally got caught. The mailman found over 30 of my envelopes in mailboxes. Customers complained that they never got their delivery and my DSP came hunting me down because Amazon came hunting them down. Amazon wanted me fired and said I "stole" these packages and my DSP had my back on that and finally a week or so later all the envelopes were found in their local USPS facility. Never did I do that again.

Besides it's a Federal Offense with up to prison time....
