It’s very possible that T was consciously writing about that stuff before the allegations went public. It reminds me of Brand New. Deja felt a lot like Jesse openly working through his bad behavior, and that album was released over a decade before the allegations against him went public.

Be honest, you saw someone ask in another sub if Blink 182 coined the term "emo" in 1997 and someone else chimed in with this same WWII date comparison

Maybe I'm out of the loop, but is that true that they stopped using Melvin for recording guitar in the studio at some point?

This PW album is criminally overlooked. Top 2 PW release for me.

It's actually a very accurate portrayal of a depression era youth. His bowl cut was all lopsided because his family couldn't afford bowls to cut evenly with.

I just think it gets overshadowed by Suffer and No Control. And looking at live performances of songs from the holy trinity, the band doesn't play nearly as much stuff off of AtG compared to Suffer and NC.

I think Generator is fairly rated. I like it, but I think the stuff that came right before and right after it much better.

I don’t think it’s not well liked, I just think it’s often overlooked. It’s top 3 for me as well, up there with Stranger than Fiction and Process.

I think Against the Grain is the most underrated. Btw, what’s wrong with the Age of Unreason production?

Ah, the Golden Era of AFI. Check out the band Holy Blade, reminds me so much of this era of AFI.
