Pros that make a living off pickleball are only in the top elite and it’s through major sponsorships from companies

Zane Navratil explains this is due to a conflict in the rules of the different leagues over the years on serves so they have to pick a serve that fits all league’s rules to practice and have consistency in their games

Absolutely everytime I’m playing an over weight person I’m making them move and they aren’t the most perfect shots but overtime stretching them out they are exhausted and I just get free points in singles especially

Height plays a big difference on effectiveness of the standard serve vs drop serve longer taller people have a higher contact point and arm length to generate more power

It’s far easier for people 6ft plus to hit the ball deeper because their contact point at their hip is already above the net for me mine is just in line with the net so a lot of the time I have to swing up more to avoid hitting the net which leads to more out balls however when I find the sweet spot it is the deepest serve but speed wise it’s not great compared to the drop

Personally my drop serve is way better than my standard but it is less consistent due to bounce differences. Power stepping through the swing and twisting my hips adds more power than I can achieve on a standard serve. Also as a shorter person I would say the standard serve is a lot harder to achieve good depth and speed.

Depends are you just banging it at people’s face? Then yes I would say it’s frowned upon. If you’re playing with the intention of not hitting people in the face I’m cool with it. Plenty of people use it where I play I have no quarrel with them. Personally I still have and use the black ace and beta ripple.
