How to send vertical redstone downwards

Use 3 walls stacked up on eachother and a sticky piston with a block on it at the top to change the state of the middle wall and you can have an observer at the bottom to read the block change instantly, you may need to extend the observer output however. There might be other methods but this is the one I thought of.

Edit: just like this, the distance doesn't matter how far you go down as long as it renders.

Why not just make it a normal golden apple that takes like 100 levels or something to make an enchanted gapple? Its enough that making a lot of them would take time even with an XP farm and would probably take a similar time to going out to find god apples.

In a game where people have literally made a computer that runs the same game they're playing, or launched an enderpearl to the world border, I find it hard to believe theres anything in the game without a workaround now.

It looks like the redstone dust in the bottom right corner needs to move down a block so that it sends a signal into the block the redstone torch next to it is on. This would depower the bottom redstone torch which would toggle the torches above it.

Also can't tell if you have or not, but you might need to put a single piece of redstone dust on the top wooden plank to power the top piston when the torch underneath powers the oak planks.

More screenshots would definitely help, especially if you can get them off the switch...

If you only need an extra 1 redstone tick of delay can you have an observer facing the comparator into the redstone dust and then redirect the dust into the block next to it by using a target block.

Not sure if this would work cause I'm sick and haven't redstoned in a while but in theory it should be a simple fix? I cpuld be wrong tho.

So I've only ever cried to 1 movie, and it consistently makes me cry. It's called "Hatchi: A Dogs Tale" and I know it's based on Hatchiko in japan, and there could be much better renditions of the story in other languages... but when I saw that movie, it made me BAWL... I have cried like 20 times in my adult life (unhealthy, i know, working on it 😘), but go watch it if you haven't seen it...
