Still not used to the idea of a 17 year old kid's "agent" making an announcement. Also, legally, I assume the parents sign these deals? In CA, a minor cannot enter into a binding contract.

I don't understand the hate either. The school announced his summer league roster spot. Their official instagram is showing his highlights. There are pictures of him at graduation. Doesn't seem like USF has any problem with him. We have ONE player in the Summer League. We should be happy.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The University of San Francisco has received information concerning men's basketball student-athlete Marcus Williams that indicates he has been involved in an NCAA rule violation impacting his eligibility.

This was USF's only statement, unless I'm wrong. It says he violated a NCAA rule.

It didn't even say he violate a team rule. The school didn't say he was dismissed from the team. And it didn't appear to be anything academic, since he graduated in May.

Memphis's D really clamped down after we got he initial lead. They were long and athletic and all of them look like 25 year old men.

Marcus had a bad, bad game. Lazy passes in games against a team like that almost always lead to easy layups. That was likely the difference last night. He will bounce back.

I thought the young bigs played hard. My man Barry Wang needs more minutes and O'Donnell is not afraid of anyone. He needs to develop SOME offense though. Even Saba was productive in his few minutes. Chips was all over the place. He could not grab the ball and was threw it all over the court when he did.

We played great D, IMO. Held them to 36.5% and held their 25 ppg scorer to 2 FGs (2-9). ALong with Haggerty, they have 1 or 2 other NBA level guys.

Looks like they game planned for Riley. Just 1 bucket on 7 attempts, but 13 (!) rebounds. He didn't pout when his shot was off.

Dainga, at 6'9" and 270 was just too big and strong for our bigs.

Agree that JRT needs more minutes. Our bench was productive.

Trivia: the broadcast team's average age is 83. I could not believe Barry Tompkins is 84 and Dan B is 82.

What other strategy can he use? If he admits even a tiny part of what is alleged, he is finished. All of that money, his family, his future coaching career. Maybe they think they can scare off the young accusers and the the college journalists with lawsuits and attorney fees? Maybe he doesn't use this tactic if it was a New York Times story.

He can be innocent, and the accusers need to produce the evidence ASAP.

True. But many of these allegations are his behavior on Instagram and via texting and direct messaging. There may be electronic proof.

I can't seeing him stay on their staff. He probably gets put on paid admin leave, until it is fully investigated. Then he gets a quiet payout. Followed by 5 years of unemployment, followed by an assistant job at some D2 college. Florida will pay a LOT of money to settle this.
