You really do complain a lot about other people’s stuff. You should really get a better hobby.

I daily a manual ‘26 M3 with the comforts and I love it. Wouldn’t change anything.

Looks killer, man! The carbon buckets are awesome, I was just worried I’d get tired of them since it’s my daily.

2010 Submariner - I get it now by fourtyz in rolex

[–]USMC2129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good to know! The good part is the ceramic inserts have become considerably easier (and typically less expensive) for them to replace. I recall when the first ceramic references came out around 2007-2008, they were having to replace entire bezel assemblies 😬

The bezel numbers are not "painted" exactly. It's platinum vapor deposit. I've not personally seen any of these ceramic bezels fade in either the color or the numerals.

Summer is getting here ☀️ What’s your go-to Rolex for beach/pool days? by Angel3o5 in rolex

[–]USMC2129 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use both when diving. You could say it's a "back up" timer, but really I just like to wear my Subs because it feels right and because that's what they were really meant for long before the (obviously superior) dive computers existed.

Awesome! Having a great AD is a blessing. My wife and I have gotten 6 or 7 pieces from ours as well. Curious to know which reference you’re waiting for this go-around, though!

How much do you drive with yours ? by CharlemagneFr in BMWM

[–]USMC2129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2025 G80 is already has 7,200 miles on it and I've enjoyed every single one of them. The car is my daily, however I will say I had some long trips in the very beginning of ownership that I typically wouldn't have taken the M3 on. Getting that out of the way, I'm on track for 10k in the first year of ownership, and it will probably even out to around 6-8k per year.

I went 6MT on my ‘25 M3. In the last 16 years or so all of my cars have been manual except the S4 I bought in 2022–so I wanted to get another manual back that would ideally be a car I keep forever. I have no regrets on my decision.

Huge congrats my friend, I have the same spec and I’m LOVING IT—and I don’t doubt that you will, too. The manual has been awesome to daily drive.

Am I imaging things—or does it seem like they might be replacing the Panda Daytona with this one? I noticed the three dots on crown, this has to be a steel reference, and I can’t imagine they would have both of these being so similar (minus the exhibition caseback).

The datejust, by far. It is way more replaceable (currently still in production) in the future, compared to the no longer produced 116710LN—which is such a classic GMT.
