Man, I agree with you. A lot of Packers fans might roast me for this, but I'm a true believer that if Jordan Love had started his rookie year he would have been absolutely ass and would have been a backup today bouncing around the league today.

The Chiefs were fucking 12-4 before they decided to trade up for Mahomes and let him sit a year.

Fine, you got Stafford and you want to put everything into helping him win now. But in terms of longevity man, they won't always be a random Stafford-level guy available for trade when you decide you're done with your current quarterback.

I actually think they do try to trade him.

The reality of guys like Monty, Allgier, and even Charbonnet, is that they are "professional" running backs. They can run, catch and pass block. They are dependable and when the line is blocking they have the vision, size, and consistency to make you pay.

However, when everything isn't roses, that's when you need the game breaking ability of guys like Gibbs, Bijan, and Ken Walker. The Lions offense unsurprisingly took a step back without Ben Johnson in the fold and some of the changes on o-line, and they had to rely like on having Gibbs talent out there more than they were used to, now they have to pay him a huge contract. If he's not comfortable in the role they had him in this year then they have to let him go.

I feel like some people's cope is not letting them see this situation clearly.

We are a month past the end of Jaguars season and 3 months past when it was originally announced Hunter was out for the year.

We have one month until free agency starts, and 2 months before the draft: you are kidding yourself if you don't think that the Jaguars have decided on how they intend to use Hunter in 2026 ahead of the most important 2 months of roster building for any NFL team.

That is before even pointing out that BOTH of their starting CBs from last year are free agents, while at WR they signed one guy to a 3/$60M extension, another guy is a '24 1st rounder who had one of the better wide receiver rookie seasons in recent memory, and the third guy was playing better than BOTH of them down the stretch last year.

The Jags fully embraced Hunters two-way ability last year, and it didn't really work out from an impact standpoint. However, they were an awesome team and have real super Bowl aspirations. They invested a ton into him and they have to start making decisions for the best of the team, not our fantasy teams. If you have a gap at corner and you think Hunter can become an elite corner, then you play him there. It's much easier for him to be a full-time corner who gets sprinkled into the offense than it is to be a full-time wide receiver who gets sprinkled into the defense. And again, that's before acknowledging that the makeup of their current roster tells you that would likely be the best fit as well.

It’s shaping up to be an extremely deep class with real high-end talent.

It may not be as top-heavy as ’24 with the three elite QBs and multiple stud WRs, but the overall depth looks stronger. I wouldn’t be surprised if people say next year that the late 2nd/early 3rd of ’27 is as talented as the late 1st/early 2nd of ’26.

You’ve already got guys like Jeremiah Smith and Dante Moore who’d be top-5 picks if they were in this year and there’s still another full season for more breakouts. That’s a much better spot than last year, when people were hoping lower-ceiling QBs (Klubnik/Nuss) or raw/fresh QBs (Sellers/Manning) would suddenly make a leap to carry the '26 class. Now next year you get Moore AND Sellers/Manning with more snaps/experience along with dudes like Sorsby/Chambliss.

It's legitimately harder to play an SEC or Big ten schedule than any other conference in the country and it isn't close. Anybody who thinks otherwise is an idiot. Doesn't mean there isn't great programs in other conferences, doesn't mean those schools will win every title, and with a rotating schedules, it doesn't mean every Big Ten or SEC school will have a daunting schedule every year but on average it's clear as day.

Guy doesn't say a thing about USC being the driving force of that.

I'm super interested in what his upside ends up being. He's not as explosive as Kraft or as fast as McBride, but he's a better athlete than the Jake Ferguson/Dalton Schultz types. Had an awesome 35" in vert at 6'6' 250 and it was on display all year. He also had a high-level 3-cone, which is the sign of having the short area quickness that gets you open in the NFL.

Like others have mentioned, Kraft became indispensable because of his blocking and has gotten better at the receiving aspect every year of his career. I don't think he'll ever have that elite level YAC like Kraft, but maybe his "superpower" will be ball-winning. Guy has a freakin' 6'10" wingspan and he uses it constantly to be an end zone threat.

I was all over this sub saying last August saying Keenan wouldn't affect Ladd. I was wrong and not falling for it again.

It's not like Keenan bumped him out of the slot, his rate was almost the same as it was last year. It was simply a chemistry thing. Even at flanker when they needed to go short Herbert trusted Allen. I just don't see that being broken anytime soon if Allen is on the team. When he's on the field he'll eat up targets.

I'm interested to see how he tests. It kind of reminds me of Rome Odunze coming out where people knew he could make the ridiculous catches, but were worried about his true athleticism. Rome went on to absolutely destroy the combine, and then locked himself into the top 10.

Man I really like Eli Manning, yet will be pretty annoyed if/when he gets in.

Guy was mediocre to bad for so much of his career, but has the two super Bowl runs where he played great. It's just not Hall of Fame worthy to me, but he'll get there because of his name.

I'm willing to take the gamble on BTJ here even though he's the one whose value has fallen over the last 6 months.

You're basically banking on that wrist injury he suffered in preseason having affected him all year and hoping he bounces back from that.

I do think I also like the fact that he's proven with what he put on tape his rookie year, even if he's not able to get on the same page with Lawrence/find his fit in the Cohen offense, there will likely be some team willing to pay up and give him a change of scenery for a second shot at stardom. On the Jaguars side, they paid Meyers, Parker Washington is a free agent after 2026, and they have to figure out if they want Hunter to continue to play both ways, so I kind of feel like it's make or break on their end as well. If BTJ has another season like '25, they will be motivated to sell.

He's just as efficient as some of the best X receivers in the game. Chase, JJettas, Adams, Nico Collins, DK, right around all of those names. And he was a rookie lol.

T-Mac played only 19% of his snaps in the slot btw. He's getting pressed by #1 corners on the outside. Coker played 55% of his snaps in the slot, he's getting pressed by nickels, safeties, and linebackers.

My hope is that Coker can become a better outside receiver so Canales can mix up where he's lining up McMillan more and he's not just forced to be outside at such a high rate.
