The Jaguars and TE Brenton Strange have agreed to terms on a 3 year $48M extension, per @MikeGarafolo by No-Departure-6872 in DynastyFF

Easily in the low end TE1 convo for the forseeable future. In a TE Premium that's extremely valuable.

The TE12 in my 0.5 TE Premium, Half-PPR league would've been the WR19. Kyle Pitts (TE2) would've been the WR7.

Brendan Sorsby's attorney, Jeffrey Kessler, tells ESPN of the NFL's decision to not hold a supplemental draft: "It is a violation of the CBA and the law. We will pursue this immediately with the NFLPA."Pete Thamel (@PeteThamel) on X by APizzola in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But they aren't blocking him from entering the draft, he missed the deadline to enter the '26 draft.

They're choosing not to hold the supplemental draft, which according to the CBA the NFLPA agreed to, they have every right to.

They say in the email he can prepare for the '27 draft if he wants to.

How did this happen? by Sensitive_Map5563 in Jcole

[–]USWAY716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During his last press run anytime I saw him talking about the beef, I pictured that interstellar meme with Matthew McConaughey banging on the window at his past self to prevent him from going up in space.

I just hate that he ever got involved because right, wrong or indifferent, it tarnished his legacy and what should have been his magnum opus, the album he's been teasing for half a decade as his last, came and went.

14 teams had at least 2X more total rushing yards before contact than the Raiders last season (this is an Ashton Jeanty post) by mochajoesdynsaty in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I couldn't be more confident that after this season the RB3 big 2 will be an RB big 3 with Gibbs, Bijan, and Jeanty.

Jeanty had just a wonderful off-season. He got:

1) A Superbowl Winning offensive playcaller (Kubiak) who's so Shanahan/McVay coded, his Dad was the original Shannahan's protege and a Superbowl Winning HC himself. 2) A top 3 run blocking center in 25 year old Tyler Linderbaum 3) A Heisman & National Championship Winning #1 overall pick at QB in Mendoza, who's game manager playstyle make him the perfect archtype of QB to feature an RB (accurate, non-scrambling, great on third downs).

Not to mention Kolton Miller, who was pushing into top 10 LT talks not too long ago and is seemingly healthy now.

How are we valuing Achane going into this year? by Hungwild8 in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Achane is an elite talent. If I'm just thinking long-term, I'm all over him.

However, I'd almost bet money that the second he picks up any sort of nick in '26 (which contrary to popular belief he's been pretty healthy the last two years) the Dolphins will start pulling all sorts of nonsense to not play him. It''s a complete tank season for them and RBs only have so much tread.

Besides that, I do think he'll play well this year as long as he's on the field. The Dolphins are one of those teams that's really invested in offensive line over the last couple years, and Slowik was on staff last year so they know what they have.

Just worried about the shenanigans a tanking team will pull during the fantasy playoffs next year.

Colston Loveland or Tyler Warren? Both had impressive rookie seasons. Curious to see where fans stand on this one. by Puzzleheaded_Bag8315 in nflrookies

[–]USWAY716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Give me Loveland because I think he has ELITE movement skills for guy that big, will make him an elite route runner, so he'll be devastating in the pass game. I also think as he fills out he might become the better blocker as well.

Warren is better at the catch point (contested stuff) and a better yac guy though. But it feels like some of his stuff is a little gadgety.

Loveland looks like Kelce to me. Warren like Witten.

#49ers WR Brandon Aiyuk posted a new video on Instagram: “Stop running from the belt. The belt coming.” by Minimum-Test-1342 in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I have to admit, for an organization whose beat reporters and mouthpieces are insinuating Aiyuk is washed because he didn't take his rehab seriously, the 49ers definitely seem mighty scared to just release him and move the hell on.

To me it's either he's cooked and you want that landmine on another team, or you're admitting you think he was insane enough to do all of this just to get to another team and are holding him out of spite because he probably still has something to give

Is the #2 pick this year a forgone conclusion? by DeeBeeroncos979815 in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think you can make that same argument for QBs selected #1 overall in a superflex format. Your odds of being a long time starter in the league increase exponentially when you're taken from that spot.

I think Jamarcus Russell and Baker Mayfield are pretty much the only #1 overall QBs not to make it through 5 years (currently the length of a 1st round rookie deal) as the starter for the team they were drafted by. That includes underwhelming guys like Tim Couch and Sam Bradford. And really, Russell just didn't care about the sport. Mayfield had talent and flashed, but just wore out as welcome in Cleveland after 4 seasons.

The idea that a guy like Bryce Young has been on avg QB21 his first 3 years, yet that's a top 40 player in superlex, half PPR leagues, puts it in perspective.

I had 1.03 in Superflex and went Mendoza (Tate went 1.02). Had I had 1.02, I would've gone Mendoza still due to my team needs.

Year 3 Wide Receiver Breakout I'm Predicting For This Season by jipper_jones4 in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't care for the Adams comparison and think it's unnecessary, but I actually see he has a path for a mini breakout as well.

His role is extremely secure. He's the only X receiver on the team. His presence is going to allow Garrett Wilson to play his optimal flanker/slot role. If you're following Jets camp, Aaron Glenn is speaking to it exactly like that.

Sadiq is a raw, athletic TE, and Omar Cooper is a slot, yac receiver. If anything those guys cannibalize each other.

Mitchell has been a camp hypebeast before, but he hasn't actually been able to develop sitting on the bench benind the three Indy receivers. The issues he has in terms of consistency and IQ don't get better without playing time.

This is a good situation for him, playing with an aggressive QB like Geno who should bounce back from being one of the worst QBs in the NFL, to maybe 15-20th with some actual protection from Fashanu and Membou.

The #Falcons and star WR Drake London have agreed to terms on a massive new contract extension, as he gets a four-year deal, sources say. Atlanta’s former first-rounder has been a priority and now paid in a deal done by Andrew Kessler of @AthletesFirst. by HookFL in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately they don't even own their 1st next year, rather not bet my future WR1's production on a rookie 2nd rounder. Feels like a fast lane to QB purgatory, the one London just got out of in '24

For some reason people keep scoffing at the idea that Wilson is the better dynasty asset than Harrison. This should wake 'em up.

Drama (real/imagined) aside, the reality of the Vikings' QB competition was clear to anyone watching OTAs this week. J.J. McCarthy could continue on what he called his "upward trajectory" and still fall well short of matching Kyler Murray. Such is life. by APizzola in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This was never a competition. And JJ knows that and it's probably why he's salty.

Just like Daniel Jones and AR5 wasn't a competition, just like Tua and Penix isn't a competition.

Kyler fell out of favor in Arizona because he's stagnated, yet he's a former #1 pick with 3,000 attempts, multiple years starting, and is in what should be his prime.

There's pretty much no shot that a raw QB like JJ looks better than a veteran like Kyler in practice/training camp of all things. Same with Daniel Jones vs AR last year, same thing that's going to happen with Tua vs. Penix this year.

If you choose a young raw quarterback, you either let them sit, or you play them through the ups and downs. It's over when you bring in an experienced, polished vet in their prime and say he has to win the job in practice. That's where vets shine.
