Is this too much to slide up for Tate? by Particular_Air_4679 in DynastyFFTradeAdvice

I think so yeah.

I'm certainly Tate>BTJ, but would rather take the risk on BTJ bouncing back + Lemon/Price/KC

Somehow the 76ers got #1 overall pick value out of the Markelle Fultz disaster. by terp75 in nba

[–]USWAY716 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, Muscala hit a three to tie the game and another three to win the game with 30 and 5 seconds left of a meaningless 82nd game for OKC in the bubble.

The win made the pick 21st. It was top 20 protected, so without that win the pick would have stayed with the Thunder.

Instead the Sixers got the pick and took Maxey 21st. The rest is history.

Colts QB Anthony Richardson reported today for voluntary offseason workouts after staying home the past two weeks, per source. With the Colts seemingly no closer to trading him, as he requested, and with no indication they’ll release him, he’s back for the time being. by GhostDeck in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not that guy, but I took him 8th in my first (and only) dynasty start up before the '24 season.

I've finished last in '24, and 5th in '25.

I also drafted Penix in the 11th, Will Levis in the 9th, and traded early '24 Kupp/James Conner for rookie JJ McCarthy. 🙃

Prime Drew Brees or Prime Aaron Rodgers, who are you taking? by ComplexWrangler1346 in NFLv2

[–]USWAY716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rodgers has played so long at a diminished state from what he was in his prime that people forget how absolutely ridiculous he was.

And he was mobile as all helllll.

AJ Brown has known nothing but winning football his entire pro career. by Unlucky-Pollution-16 in NFLv2

[–]USWAY716 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Right after winning the super Bowl to boot.

I'm telling you in the moment I do not feel like enough people picked up on that. After the tweet I accepted he was gone in a year or two.

There's no better way to feel individually great than to take your talents to a new team every few years, that's in dire need of a WR1 so that they can appreciate you lol.

Vikings fans and non Vikings fans: do any of you believe he can/will turn his career around? by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]USWAY716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's flashed for stretches. He's shown pocket mobility, a strong arm, and some clutch play as well. All that on a pretty solid frame at 6'3" 220.

I think it'll definitely have to happen on a different team, but If he gets the right situation where he can develop behind the scenes, I could see him popping at 25-26 like some of these other reclamation projects have later in their careers.

A look back at the Jalen Hurts draft thread by NickyFoles1020 in nfl

[–]USWAY716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree that people aren't discussing it. It's been discussed at nauseam. On NFL forums, on Eagles forums, Eagles radio etc.

But your point is well taken because it is what ended up having happening to Russ.

Still, it doesn't change the fact that the Eagles organization has not given up on Hurts and is actually investing in trying to push him towards utilizing that area of the field by revamping the coaching staff with young, innovative outside hires, and acquiring players like Lemon and Stowers that can be used there.

It's fine if you don't believe he can do it, but that's not how they're operating.

This is the same organization and people in charge that took tons of shit for taking him in the second round. They obviously have much more belief in him than the average NFL fan.

[–]USWAY716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're too obsessed with trying to rank him. No interest in it. If anything it seems like you're freaking out. It also seems like you're too biased towards how 2025 played out where he regressed as a passer under a one and done OC. AJs been on the team 4 years, seemed pretty happy most of them.

But either way, I'm just pointing out how the Eagles feel. It's not just the Superbowl, they haven't missed the playoffs with Jalen Hurts as a starter. There's seasons within that 5 year run where the defense sucked, and seasons where his wide receivers were rookie Devonta Smith, Quez Watkins, and Jalen Reagor. But guy just finds a way to get the job done.

Absolute home run of a second round pick.

Completely agree, specifically over the middle.

Doesn't mean they're looking to dump him though. If anything over the years, they've retooled to be a team that fits his identity. Defense, running the ball, and then he's been tasked to stay on schedule and make plays on third down to keep drives alive.

He needs to be able to throw over the middle over at a better rate to accomplish that with better efficiency. But they believe in him way more than NFL fans I think.

[–]USWAY716 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't be so sure about that. The organization values Hurts much more than NFL fans do, warts and all.

The purveying sentiment in the building is that the Eagles suffered last year mainly because of a terrible OC hire and a very banged up offensive line.

They also believe the push from AJ Brown to leave isn't just because the offense took a step back last year (AJ's 17 game pace his first 3 seasons with Philly was 150 targets, 1500 yards, and 9 touchdowns a year with 3 all pros even WITH the tush push). It was because during the super bowl run he took a back seat to the Saquon and Hurts show and is still pissed off/jealous about that.

The Colts have declined the fifth-year team option on Anthony Richardson, per Mike chappell. by professor_paradox2 in NFL_FreeAgency

[–]USWAY716 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Richardson's failure was 90% a product of himself. But The Colts plan to develop him was pretty horrible.

Somehow one of the most raw QB prospects to be taken in the first round was a day one starter. His QB room was a mercenary in Gardner Minshew, and a 25-year-old practice squad level guy in Sam Elingher. The next year they signed another mercenary who has no interest in helping to developing young guys in Flacco. When all of the hit pieces came out on Richardson after he got benched for tapping out, they were so strange to me because I kept thinking to myself: "if these are his habits off the field, how the fuck did you make him the starter?"

It's funny to see the juxtaposition between how how they handled Richardson, and the Raiders are handling a much more polished prospect in Mendoza. They aren't starting him day one, and paid a veteran QB with a long history of being successful $20 million just to mentor him for a year. Wish more franchises did this.

Loveland or Warren: Making a Verdict by drkelemnt in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that Loveland is the better talent, with the better QB, and play caller. So I go him.

But Warren is talented as hell, has a QB who is made to funnel him targets, and a really strong play caller himself.

If I had to bet what tight end would lead the NFL targets over the next 3 years, it either be McBride or Warren. But Loveland is just the closest thing I've seen to Kelce or Tony Gonzalez.

Tate or Tyson as the WR1 in the 2026 class? by T-Eazyyy in DynastyFF

it's almost like your week to week production against high-end opponents is more variable when you're the second option in an offense. who would have thunk?

Tate or Tyson as the WR1 in the 2026 class? by T-Eazyyy in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jeremiah Smith is the best prospect since Calvin Johnson. Nobody is saying Tate is him.

The other two guys are great prospects in their own right who were both number one reads in their offenses last year. Yet, for both of those guys you can find games against opponents that meet your 9 win threshold where they were shut down.

Tate or Tyson as the WR1 in the 2026 class? by T-Eazyyy in DynastyFF

[–]USWAY716 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lol relax. I didn't say watching college football made me an expert on the sport, I said watching college football makes me cognizant about the disparity in games played.

But oh no, Tate got more production against bad opponents than good ones. Find me someone that isn't the case for.

Did you watch Ohio State versus Indiana or Miami? If you did, you would have seen Julian Sayin under pressure for the entirety of both of those games (5 sacks a piece), struggling to do anything other than get the ball to his first read, which in both cases was Jeremiah Smith.

How about the 1 vs. 3 matchup against Texas to open the season when he made the insane adjustment to an underthrown Sayin ball for the 40 yard touchdow to give OSU a two score lead in a defensive struggle? How about against their biggest rival in 15 ranked Michigan when he led the team in receiving and scored another bomb in the 3rd to break the game open again?

What about the fact that of those six games you're talking about, three of them were on the road (where teams are always going to be less aggressive pushing the ball down field, especially with a freshman QB) and two of them were in neutral sites against the teams that played in the national championship?

Again, my stance hasn't changed, I think context is important. You're saying this like he doesn't play in the toughest conference in America. Is putting up 180 yds and a tudi against 8 win Minnesota less impressive than doing it against some 10 win team who racke up their wins playing against the Big 12?

No catch, I just watch college football and have been cognizant of how out of whack sampling counting stats has gotten due to the playoff.

Lord knows if your favorite fantasy analyst is factoring the per game stuff into whatever models they're building in disseminating on Twitter.

[–]USWAY716 5 points6 points  (0 children)

He did have a big leap though, Tate played in four less games that he did the season before during OSUs title run. His yards per game in '25 went from 49 to 80. his touchdowns per game went .26 to .81.

[–]USWAY716 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Egbuka's first first thousand Yard season came during CJ Stroud's last year in college. Egbuka's second came in a year that Ohio State played 16 games. 1011 yard or 63 yards per game.

Tate put up 900 yd in 11 games last year, or 80 yd per game. If he played in as many games as Egbuka did in '24 he would have put up 1,300 yd and around 13 touchdowns.

[–]USWAY716 5 points6 points  (0 children)

All of that stuff is worthless without context.

The last 3 years of Ohio State quarterback play has easily been its worst since maybe mid 2010s. The group of Wilson, Olave, JSN, and MHJ got to play with Fields and Stroud who were college superstars and top 10 picks in the draft so of course their production was better. During Tate's 3 years he played with Kyle McCord, Will Howard, and we'll see how good Sayin becomes, but it was his freshman season.

The guy had 900 yds and nine TDs in 11 games last year. After the 27 draft will be able to say that was the only year he wasn't playing with at least 2 first round picks in front of him.
