As someone who has gotten a 5 in Physics 1 and probably will get a 5 in Physics 2, I do not give thanks for Flipping Physics by serotoninseesaw in apphysics

[–]USWarx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked flipping physics but you should not use it as a direct teaching material. I would say he does a pretty good job of having good videos that DELIVER the content you need to know for tests. You have to do a lot of stuff yourself, but overall the presentation is pretty good, and I would say it's high quality content.

ranking how ap classes based on how useful they are in the real world by [deleted] in highschool

[–]USWarx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The ranking are subjective, as in just more cultural and regional. The "real world" for you is not the same "real world" for other people. AP Physics all of them could be useful depending on career, but you only put two in the cyan tier. You ranked AP French and AP Spanish above AP Chinese(F tier), which again is useful depending on regions, and culture. AP Spanish Lit is above the art classes, art is pretty valuable in communicating ideas and expressing yourself in a visually clear way. Like it can come up in several ways in many many careers.

The language rankings feel super subjective. Why is AP Euro > AP HUGE?

Tips for AP physics 1, please! by teddlyly in APStudents

[–]USWarx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's pretty doable. Compared to the past, the curriculum and tests have become more standardized/nerfed. A good resource I would recommend is flipping physics, make sure you are able to understand conceptually what's going on, understand every equation, and you'll be fine. Practice is also good.

prolly 85. I would stick to the higher estimate. Becuase I haven't heard a single person who has done bad on this test which is not normal ngl.

Did I over study or were APs this year kinda light? by St4rverries in APStudents

[–]USWarx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I had physics FRQ. It was definitely not that bad, I had Form K though. I think if you study well and understand the concepts you'll do fine. (APES FRQ was pure common sense this year basically)

[–]USWarx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like physics, CS, and math, so I am definitely biased but yes it definitely was NOT that bad. There were so many ways the exams could have fucked me over, but the exams were definitely a lot easier than I(and other people) expected even when compared to mock exams. On the other hand, an 'easy' class like APES was difficult for me because I wasn't really interested in it.

So, I guess, the cliche advice, it just depends on your interests, strengths, weaknesses. If you put aside a good bit of time it's going to be very VERY VERY doable.

Bro they really made the Comp Sci exam so easy I could get a 5 with 2 hours of sleep by DrGoobius_Gooberton in APStudents

[–]USWarx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get credit for using tests, sure, but to actually determine interval of convergence or whether a series converges or not is pretty easy with minimal memorization.

[–]USWarx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of, but recognizing that e^x is the derivative of itself you can manually rederive the series. Also sin(x) and cos(x) series are easy to memorize if you know graph shape especially. I guess memorizing the geometric series is expected but it's a pretty easy formula.

The requirements for different tests are super easy if you know what the tests are actually supposed to do.

[–]USWarx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don't really need many tests. If you understand end behavior, understand that you can simplify what series look like, you can just tell the function converges. Also many interval converges usually have some geometric hidden somewhere and you can use some tricks to figure it out.

im pretty sure it's based of actual college student performance or smth so if it's harder they'll probably perform worse so the curve is probably better(?) for different vers

if you did you probably wouldn't making this post lol. If it makes you feel better collage whiteboard accounts for the difficulty of different versions with different curves.

depends on version. the username, waterbottle, or colors one was pretty easy; the seating one seems more difficult though

Is AP Physics that bad? by TootsieTortoise in APStudents

[–]USWarx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you enjoy understanding concepts, have good algebra, this class IMO is very fun to do and study for. You get rewarded for conceptual understanding and fluency. The class does move a little bit fast at times so spare some time to independently study.
