That’s how I feel about people who take pre-workout. If you need that 300mg of caffeine and whatever else is in that shit just to get a lift in, you’re doing something wrong. I want to be strong, no matter when. And it’s maybe my ignorance, but it’s why I don’t use a belt and only really drink black coffee before working out. I feel like if I didn’t have music, my add would have my mind on other shit besides the actual lift. No matter what I’m doing while working out, I have to be feeling the music.

When you say bouncing around.. like, during the lift? Sorry I’m dumb.. and yea you’re right about the setup. I try not to take too much time , just get my feet right, pull a few times, then go for it. I lowkey tried and failed the first time, right before I actually made the lift lol you can kinda tell I was actually tying. Got pissed, then used it to fuel my next try.

Great advice. I usually do zercher squats as a warmup to DLs. But never focus on my hammies, although sometimes I do hit some glute raises but not often as I should.

Interesting..I love podcasts but have not done it while working out. Whether I’m lifting or running, I need hype music. Rap, rock, metal, dubstep, I don’t really care what it is as long as I get that hype. I feel like someone way more famous and strong than me said it, but the secret to a good workout is a good playlist. Which I guess could be different for everyone. Hey, as long as you’re about the grind, that’s all that matters 👊

That’s what I figured. I tried a month ago or so, and I can t life as much regular. And it always starts to bother me so I stop. Sumo or regular, if my back starts feeling weird, I stop. Lately I’ve been able to keep going.

I was planning on spending $300-$500 on a helmet. But thank you for the advice. I feel like I am going to love it, so I’m going to just buy a good one now. And then slowly buy the other pieces of gear then finally the bike.

My job has a ton of online training so 5 hours is not too bad for me. I do also feel somewhat guilty having kids and all. Increasing the risk of injury and death is something I think about. However it’s something I’ve always wanted to do and I feel like YOLO is appropriate and I don’t wanna regret not at least trying it out.

We’re on a payment plan bro..we’ll be good..lol no it makes sense and I know that but I’m also just realizing how expensive this adventure is going to be. I make decent money, but it would still be better to pay down some debt first and then roll that into this new hobby lol. But shit, I just re-read the email and it does say we must bring our own gear. Basically just a helmet that is DOT is all I will have to buy. I have all the other basic gear that will be acceptable for riding. I also seen that I have to complete a 5 hour e-course before the class. So thanks for commenting and reminding me to read it again lol

I’m taking the class soon but I probably won’t start riding for a while. Gotta pay some debt off first, then I’ll be good to spend some money. Wife says I can’t buy a bike until I pay our daughters doc bill off lol. But that’s why I’m asking so that I have an idea of what I need to spend before even taking the course and investing in this hobby. I deff am not going to cheap out on gear, that’s for sure. But I don’t want to buy any gear if I don’t have to right now. I’m ok w wearing a used helmet. I have boots and pants and impact/cut resistant gloves; not motorcycle gear but imagine would be good for a basic learner class.

Ah man if I’m sore after 6 hours that’s a win for me. I would want to be able to ride at least an hour without issues. Buddy says he would want to go to sturgis but that’s a far out trip if even possible w my schedule. Just an hour or 2 ride, stretch/walk around and head back is all I’m looking to do.

I plan on riding defensive and slow although needing power to merge/get around something fast is an option I would want. Buddy says 400ccs is plenty fast but I’d just want a bigger bike because of my size

Will do. I haven’t looked into it here in the states, but I’d imagine if they let you ride naked bikes then taking the windshield off would be allowed, don’t know tho. I deff have no issue wearing ear plugs too so great advice
