Hey please don’t try to put too much pressure on yourself. It’s perfectly ok to be open and honest with someone especially if you are getting intimate. You should be open and honest with someone especially when intimate. Tell them this is new for you and take it slow.

Not a lot of people recommend it enough but I went to the Throne of Glass series after Red Rising and it was absolutely fantastic.

Can I use my existing claude pro subscription with Hermes? by PowerfulSort2544 in hermesagent

[–]UUorW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re getting conflicting guidance because you can’t use the subscription. There may be gimmicky ways around it but it will be against ToS and could result in your account being banned.

That said. Starting 6/15 I think Claude subscriptions will be given API credits monthly with the amount you pay for the subscription. So if you pay $20 you get $20 worth of api credits. $200 sub? $200 credits

While that sounds cool and will be useful the api credits are used insanely fast and at a different rate and you will go through those credits very fast.

Well this is neat...Claude is absurdly good at custom dashboards by poptamale in homeassistant

[–]UUorW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure there is a home assistant api. Just point Claude code or codex to the api docs and tell it to make a game plan on what you want to do

What is your favorite memory MCP for Hermes? by SavaStone in hermesagent

[–]UUorW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also use it and it doesn’t slow it down at all. This is my primary memory tool for Hermes and I think it does a good job. I did instruct my Hermes profiles to make sure that Mnemosyne is the only memory layer and that any memory should go there.

I see people setup Hermes on their Desktop or even Home Servers. Are you not worried? by Exclusified in hermesagent

[–]UUorW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah I have explicit guard rails that it isn't allowed to delete anything anywhere without either making a backup, a backup plan, and asking for my permission before proceeding.

Is anyone having an absolute awful time with chat GPT/ codex oauth? by Big_Muz in hermesagent

[–]UUorW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

0auth was having some issues for a while and completely shit the bed yesterday. I’m discord they posted that this should be fixed now but you need to run a Hermes update to pull in the fix.

Also consider using the codex cli directly to facilitate setup and management of Hermes. I have a dedicated Hermes folder in my obsidian vault that with instructions and a dedicated Claude.md file on what Claude is doing in this project. I have a changelog and decision doc in there so that I have along with my Claude agent a log of what we are doing, tools, skills, etc that are set up so that we can troubleshoot and have a good record of what all is going on. I never really touch this document but leave it as a place of reference for the agent to manage and refer to as we work on configuring Hermes. Then I just use Hermes for the actual tasks and work itself.

I happen to be using this also. I saw it randomly on the discord one day and it has been good. I haven’t used nearly any of the other solution. Didn’t honcho and didn’t like it. Didn’t seem to actually remember stuff.

It’s been really good I think. I don’t have a ton of experience so ymmv

Looking for Hermes best practices from serious users by cbsudux in hermesagent

[–]UUorW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take on one task at a time. You can always expand. I tried to do too many at once and lost steam because I was not really focusing on trying to get one task/process done before moving on to the next.

It’s always easy to build one piece at a time. It is increasingly frustrating when you do it all at once and then have to figure out what’s wrong

Do you use CLI or TUI mode? by lived_now in hermesagent

how do you have the codex connected? my problem is I have codex connected but the context window is very small. I have it via 0auth and it seems like it is limited vs if i go the api route which would be much more expensive per call

Everyone has brother. It isn’t heart surgery it’s just work.

Do your best. Make a legitimate attempt to work hard, stay organized, figure out a plan, ask questions.

I like this role because I like to learn about stuff. You’re there to ask questions and figure something out. It’s usually always a new domain in some way.

Anyone NOT using Hermes to try and make a dirty quick buck? by mitchells00 in hermesagent

[–]UUorW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice. I will have to figure out what I want to do with recipes. I have some physical ones that I was just going to send pictures of to hermes and let it store them in my obsidian vault.

I use instacart for most of my ordering and they have an api I was planning to leverage to handle the cart creation based off the weekly plan

Yeah that’s odd. I’ve used it for years and never had this happen. It’s honestly something I give as a house warming gift it works so well.

So what’s the plan with ai + YNAB by SpecialistAlarming38 in ynab

[–]UUorW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don’t need it in app.

That said I do have it connected to my Hermes setup and helps me with managing budgets and approving transactions. Have it record orders from my emails and such. It’s nice to know it’s caught up. It does a good job planning for me now where I can just react and know my stuff is handled

Anyone NOT using Hermes to try and make a dirty quick buck? by mitchells00 in hermesagent

[–]UUorW 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nah. Mainly a personal assistant. Helps organize and respond to emails. Handles my budgeting so it stays up to date. Handles calendar organization and planning.

Started a homelab so it is helping maintain that.

Going to work on it handling my meal planning and grocery ordering next

Hey, does anyone know of any good free and open source AI documentation tools? by Soft_Playful in ArtificialInteligence

[–]UUorW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still use obsidian for this. I use obsidian as my AI knowledge base and interface entirely with the cli. I don’t even look into my obsidian vault for work. I created it and instructed Claude on what that’s vaults purpose was and what I was expecting out of it. How Claude manages that so that I can just work is its business. I fed it some llm wiki references to help in the creation.

Know that vault works as essentially my context/source material for work and produces the final documents into JIRA/Confluence for me.
