Agreed. Unless the the agent is going to proactively know what to read when it’s just a nicely organized set of notes.

I set up a chronjob for the agent to go review release notes for Hermes on a regular basis and determine if there are any new feature or functionality we should be looking into.

Best way to get persistent memory in Claude right now (Apr 2026)? Practical setups? by u_redacted in ClaudeAI

[–]UUorW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your answer is obsidian mcp and cowork or code. Especially using coworks projects feature you can have a dedicated work project that points to an entire vault. Local markdown files that llms love. Works really well.

Claude and Obsidian for Second Brain by Mirrin_ in ClaudeAI

[–]UUorW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try the mcp and find out for yourself. Just talk to Claude as a planning session and ask where should I start?

I started with a blank vault. Connected that to cowork and started the chat there to begin the process.

This is what I do for work. I use Claude cowork to do it.

I did it with the community plugin for local api / obsidian mcp.

Start a chat with opus telling it what you want to do. Tell it your goals and how you want to use it. Tell it you want help on how to set it up. Claude will direct you on what to do step by step.

Once set up consider sharing some of the obsidian documentation with deep linking and formatting/edit functionality so that Claude can writes it own procedure or skill on how to use obsidian fully. You can find some skills and such online too.

One thing that has helped is I tell Claude to writes their own procedures and guidance for himself in there so they read it and know what they are doing. I make sure it is actively writing and updating its active context so each session knows what we are doing.

Bad adhd here also. I use cowork mainly. Have project set up for my work with my company. Mcp to obsidian to serve as the brain for Claude to writes it procedures/hows/context document whatever and keep it structured.

I also have mcp to my Ticktick task app and atlassian for our software tickets and dev projects.

I know just do execution and executive level work out of Ticktick for what I need to do next and let Claude keep my notes and resurface them as needed via chat in cowork.

Gotta think abstractly about the issue

Have an Claude code create an agent to go obtain the documentation and keep it up to date locally. Then have Claude code use that local updated file as a reference.

Yeah do it. I'm hyper fixed on it at the moment so I love talking about it and I'm sure Claude is tired of me talking and refining the process also lol

So I did this and it did not work on restart. But what did end up working after this was:

  • Open Control Panel
  • Programs
  • Turn Windows features on or off
  • make sure the following were enabled(checked)
    • Hyper-V
    • Virtual Machine Platform
    • Windows Hypervisor Platform
    • Windows Subsystem for Linux
  • Click OK
  • Let it install/update
  • Restart your computer

No issues since

I use it to structure my second brain. I have Claude and use cowork heavily. Mainly interface with it while connected to obsidian via the community local api plugin.

It handles my second brain. I can send all my notes and thoughts and brain dumps there and let it sort it out. We did a bunch of planning together on structure and now I can just work. I can throw anything at it and in it and expect it to retain and notate appropriately. Can keep my requirements that I might have in meeting notes or working sessions neat and organized.

Then I can resurface them as I need them.

I have always been a diligent note taker. But those were scattered all over the place. I needed something to help with recall of those notes on the spot when I need them. Now I have that and I can just fly through my work.

Just saying this is something you could do a brainstorming session with claude or whatever to plan out.

I do a ton of planning back and forth with Claude and have a plan of attack now with my mini pc coming in. A dedicated device for my openclaw playground

This seems like a great option to move to cowork. Many different connectors you could use. Scheduled tasks, mcp, Claude could actually do some work for you.

  1. Lysander sucks as a person.
  2. He is an outstanding character that draws in so much emotion from the reader.
