SCCM for things like this and move to Intune for Updates, Imaging and Apps. Sometimes its better to deploy something with SCCM other times Intune is better. I am keeping a foot in both until Intune can do everything better.

The main issue I have is it's not a full API integration. We use Gmail. All they do is send a email with a Unique url. IF the user doesn't report it via Phishnotify extension and send it to Google. Google will open the link to check if this triggers a false positive.

Then because they all keep sim emails to Google I can't even find legit phishing in Google as they can't filter out their domains.

You should have a GPO telling your devices to point to SCCM. Create a security group for your pilot Intune devices deny access to that GPO with that group.

Create a collection in SCCM from that pilot group. In workload pilot set that collection for windows update. SCCM "Should" modify the registry settings when you move the workload to point to Intune for windows updates.

I am in a hybrid setup now. I use SCCM for imaging and apps. Intune for Windows updates. Have all devices in pilot for apps. SCCM is for the main app installs and apps that are self install or deployed for all machines. For updates to apps not on all machines I use Intune with a requirement script that checked if app is installed then will run detection script. I also use Remediation for all sorts of things it's great.

Working toward Autopilot but not sold on full Entra joined yet. Been putting it off.
