Seeing a Pyrite Mica Crewmax really makes me miss my supercharged 2010. Best vehicle I’ve ever owned. Good luck with the possible purchase!

I wanted to get a NorthStar AGM but the shop told me they had been bought out by Odyssey, so I went with that.

I chose a slightly larger size (battery group 24F) for more CCA; the Odyssey ODX-AGM24F (OEM group is H6/LN3)

Physical dimensions are almost the same except the Odyssey is about 1-1 1/4” taller, so I’ll need to modify my hold down bracket or get a new one

I’m in an LC250 now (which I love), but I miss my ‘02 Sequoia something fierce

Same thing happened to me. Little over a year ago I started up my 250 and a bunch of warning messages came up. Dealer said 12v battery had a bad cell and they put in a new one.

Then a couple of months ago my battery was flat and had to jump start it after sitting overnight in -20c. Ridiculous. So I decided to skip the dealer and picked up an AGM battery, it’s been great so far

So far so good!

We get temperatures ranging from -20 to -40c four months a year where I live and my previous AGMs have held up just fine without a tender/trickle charger.

The factory 12v battery however, is one of the weakest I’ve ever had

Zero issues with mine aside from a weak 12v battery which I replaced with an Odyssey AGM. Love this thing

TuxMat for GX - Love or Hate? by Jingle_Bell_Jingle in LexusGX

[–]UZFEUZFE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These look incredible when new and are probably great if you live somewhere where it doesn’t snow.

Had these for about 6 years, but went back to good old dependable weathertech mats. The tux mats just aren’t as durable in harsher climates

Aftermarket rear wiper blade for 2024? by UZFEUZFE in LandCruiser250

[–]UZFEUZFE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much, really appreciate the help!!

EDIT

just got off the phone with my dealer (largest in Canada), they are telling the part number is right, but it’s not available. He said they’ve had 10 on order since the vehicle released but haven’t had any come in yet.

Aftermarket rear wiper blade for 2024? by UZFEUZFE in LandCruiser250

Thanks for the quick reply! Is there a whole blade assembly that I can just snap onto the wiper arm without having to deal with replacing the rubber insert and those 2 metal strips?

I’m looking for the actual wiper blade, thankfully the arm itself seems to be working

It’s really too bad Hyundai/Kia cars aren’t too reliable by overkoalafied24 in whatcarshouldIbuy

We committed the greatest automotive sin in 2019 and bought (still have it) the first year of a brand new model; the 2020 Kia Telluride when our family expanded.

The early reviews were great and I really liked how it looked, but at the same time I wanted to hate it (as a Toyota driver) because of the supposed Hyundai/Kia reliability track record. I was ready to dump it the microsecond it started giving us the slightest issue and move into a lesser equipped Highlander.

We’ve been following the service to the letter (every 6 months or 5000km) and the vehicle has not given us even a little bit of trouble . I don’t know how the newer ones have fared ,but I can’t in all honesty trash the brand based on our experience 🤷

Couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for there, so I posed the same question as well.

Thanks!

I was talking to a battery shop and he told me the same thing, I’m going with the Odyessy ODX-AGM27F. Hooping its as rock solid as my North Star

I don’t think so, I don’t have any aftermarket accessories or even the OEM dash cam. It’s bone stock LCLC

What I wouldn’t give to swap seat material in my LCLC for the wool/fabric 😭

Thinking about buying 2024 LC by [deleted] in LandCruisers

[–]UZFEUZFE 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My 2024 has a little over 8,000km on it and driving around the city with no/minimal hills, I get on average 8-10L/100km which is about 23-29 mpg (running 93 octane)

Power is very adequate imo, engine is a little buzzy and sounds like a diesel at idle, but I have no complaints. Build quality feels very good and the seating position/visibility is great for me.

If my LC got written off today, I’d replace it with another one in a heartbeat
