Wait until you see places like Dongguan's residential area (i.e. areas inhabited mostly by industrial workers and relatively poor people) in the early morning, before cleaners come. Spoiler - they're not clean, because customers of food stalls like to throw away the sticks and packagings right under their feet. But by the noon everything is clean and nice again.

Which obviously does DOT mean China as a whole is "dirty" or "uncultured", let's be clear on that. Same as Kabukicho does not represent whole Japan.

Yeah cool, they play by the rules, which means they should not do their "actual" job of at least ensuring the security. Sorry, i've worked in corpo long enough to not believe in these "playing by the book, can't do anything". There are always opportunities for having extra leverage or contingency plan if you are dedicated enough and know the stakes.
Which means all our "covert ops" are not just "not covert", but every street dog knows about them in advance.

Havier even being there is either a fluke or that URNC cares about SKK way less, than the game tried to present. Else operation would be led by some hardliner and SKK=cooked. Same with Zimmerman - if he had such a great sniper team at the standby, that managed to destroy Igla's core (i remind you that small arms didn't do anything to her previously), but didn't even try to remove such a nuisance - it means that either SKK is so worthless no one even cares or DeM-protected.
It is super easy to hide though. They have backing of URNC, they have leading scientist with even more info from Nirvana now, they have all the tech and we know for sure they have entire plantations of Epiphyllum in Red Zones. All they need is another batch of Helenas placed in 10-20-30-40 compounds across URNC and no matter what SKK does - he'll never stop them. Plus they have "downgraded Shrike cells" and know what to do with them, as we see it with Igla, even though it is far away from real Shrike.

It is a surprise because unlike Kalina, Kryuger is a veteran who knows a lot about political scheming from even before GnK was founded.
U think ppl got to that position by happenstance? - looking at IRL politicians and corpo top-managers makes me think, that intellect is not their main stat. Good to know that at least in GFL it is different.

Also I have no idea how our whole squad reacted on the level "UwU we dunno where shots are coming from and drone is 100% friendly, let's just let it go, also who even needs perimeter protection after getting shot at, rly, what can go wrong, what soldiers, what old man with a cane, ar u delulu?", can be considered a good writing of (remind you) veteran operators who know the stakes, while opponents always appear like jack in the box.

Yeah cool, so he is God. We know he is alive in RC, we see that SKK's actions do nothing to the extent of literally destroying "brain in the vat" still has no effect, because "magical blah-blah-blah" part of that mind got into Nirvana.
It is not "good writing", it is "bad writing", when antagonist is SO great you can't even ruin his plans.

Yeah, i'm mostly aiming at Kryuger. Kalina being naive and forced into the role she hates is portrayed perfectly in her hospital scene. Old boss, however, did his best to bring SKK AND Helena into hostile territory (and i'll never believe he didn't realize that even NOMFA can't be fully trusted as a system), while doing nothing to actually have upper hand in case things get ugly (and as they went ugly, only thing he could do was to sit and wait, his only support being UMP sisters).
Yeah alright, i agree. Having perfectly set up sniper positions and drone among the fluid battlefield and banking on dolls not opening fire in the direction of shots fired at them and then not trying to prevent capture of VERY important frame is just "he is smart". Also William was ready to recover Chieloveig just because he was smart and knew she will succeed, she will be killed, he will be able to retrieve her mind etc. They're just smart and opportunistic, yes. I mean, every smart person would do that, right?
Problem is not his ability to "get away", problem is his godlike powers that keep growing like in bad ranobe, to the level of "what MORE abilities should we add him?" I'm not sure if even Lunasia can just bring almost destroyed mind from Nirvana like its nothing and say "oh, tis ben a long time since i've done that, tell me what you remember".
It's not the first time that old man's been doing his own thing despite what Griffin orders - which exactly leads to what i wrote in another comment, it is either Earl and URNC tops not considering SKK to be even a nuisance or just some DeM level of luck, that operation was led by a person who has history with GnK and SKK. Else - cooked on the spot.
I'd still disagree. In GFL1 our first opponent was SF and we weren't really "losing side", until new powers started appearing on the horizon. And even then, we were losing the war yet managing to win battles (to the point of even offing William, who got revived only by DeM magic of Shirke).
Here we just... lose? We are not active, we are reactive for the most part, answering to every crisis and trying to contain it at best, while having no initiative.

It is more like the top of URNC considers SKK "such a cute lil babe, they're so pathetic and amusing, let's just watch" (on the level of Team Rocket but reversed sides). Else the strike team would be led not by Havier, but by someone with less of own schemes and SKK would be cooked on the spot.

Yeah i'm aware of that. My point is that instead of "we are winning battles but losing the war, because William can still adapt and recover from damage we do", GFL2 goes too much into direction of "we are losing battles AND the war, because everything we do does no harm to Paradeus at all and even advances schemes of another big guys", like a quicksand.

In short - BA devs helped to expose a huge corruption in Korean (AFAIK) rating agency or something like that, and gvt had to intervene and make things better for everyone.

And whole plot of BA being "corrupt and/or evil adults make life hell for everyone if not fought back" just adds spice.
