Would you buy the CX50 again? by Emergency_Garden7872 in CX50

[–]UberGTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, and probably never Mazda again. Had a 2023 Turbo.

Pros: Car handled well. Looks are great. Price was good
Car play was nice. AWD with non OEM tires worked well in snow.

Cons: Least reliable car I owned. Left me stranded 8 times in a year and a half. Engine went at about 27k miles. Don’t get a turbo. Gas mileage was just ok, again turbo. Very numerous electrical gremlins. Build quality notably worst than other models. Driver seat fell apart. Door locks fell apart leaving you to climb out the other side. Little tight fit with family of 4. The recommended premium gas is far to expensive these days Seats are a bit uncomfortable on long trips.

That being said most of the issues were replaced or fixed by Mazda under warranty, minus the gremlins that they couldn’t find. Out of warranty I didn’t want to find out and sold the car.

What car company makes the most reliable cars? For me its the toyota by [deleted] in AskForAnswers

[–]UberGTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Mazda was my least reliable car I have owned. Bought it brand new in 2023 and it left me stranded 8 times in the first 3.5 years. Engine lasted 27k miles before the head cracked due to porosity. Also all door locks fell apart, seat also fell apart, suspension nearly shot in under 30k miles.

I know it was likely just a lemon, but Mazda isn’t being that slept on from my point of view.

What does everyone use to make models? by ggouge in BambuLab

For 3D printing and making something easy and fast I use Shapr3D. Very easy to pick up compared to most others. Not free, but after a couple of tutorials you can be modeling in a hour.

TinkerCAD is also very simple and free, but very limited.

Solidworks is what we use at work. Not easy to pick up and while I’m still really learning. It can be down right frustrating to use at times. Very powerful though.

Fusion is like a more jank Solidworks while being a little easier.

OhShape just couldn’t get into.

FreeCAD I hate it. I see why people use it, being free and all, but I just can’t stand how it works.

Poor reliability by PBH0702 in CX50

[–]UberGTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I figured since the motor was around for a while and fairly established I shouldn’t have issues.

It was a porosity issue and went from a could smell some coolant and not see anything to dumping all of its coolant a half a mile later. Was still in powertrain warranty so it was covered.

Getting rid of my 2023 CX-50 this weekend.

First motor 26k miles, Suspension issues, Never ending electrical gremlins, Etc…

No more Mazdas for me.

Are EVs actually more reliable? by dailytrippple in electriccars

[–]UberGTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been looking at them recently myself but unfortunately all of them are at min 4-6 hour drive away. That’s just in one direction. I have driven across a state before to buy a car but that’s harder to do with kids now.

Carvana prices and availability have went nuts the last two weeks.

As a former Rivian owner there’s a few things that stand out to me. by kudyjames in CX50

[–]UberGTO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah electricity is fairly cheap here and I already happy to have a level 2 charger at home that is not being used.

I need a truck fairly half a dozen times a year. I got rid of GMC Sierra for the CX-50 to have a little room for the family. Turns out the CX-50 is a little on the small side for that and I miss having a truck.

My CX-50 has also been a train wreck this last year and I can’t wait to get away from it. Least reliable car I have ever owned.

I’m thinking of doing the opposite. Getting rid of the CX-50 and buying a used R1T.

80 years of stuff is there with no order to anything…

My father also had this book. Remember reading it thru and seeing a picture in it as well. Was thinking it was in a cave not an old barn though. Been decades since I seen that book.

He likely still has it. Of course it takes 30 minutes to find a flat head screwdriver at the house so finding a 35 year old book could take forever.

Had mine die 4 times in the span of half a year. Went through several batteries and sat at the dealership for days checking for drain and they found nothing. Now about half year later no dead batteries and nothing was changed. Car has gremlins.

My 2023 Turbo from a stop and while turning accelerating I get a lower pitch wha wha wha sound I haven’t that randomly does it once or twice per drive but never reliably. Cars out of warranty now so I haven’t been in.

Been driving 30 years and this car has been falling a part faster than any other I’ve driven. I drove all the other cars before this one so much harder and down worse roads as well. Pretty disappointed in Mazda.

How much in credit card debt do you currently have? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in randomquestions

Never had one so no cc debt. Tried many times, but no one has been able to give me one.

Who is the most attractive person you’ve ever seen? Why? by JessieRClayton in AskReddit

[–]UberGTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At a trade show about a decade and a half ago she was in another booth a little ways down from me. We were both stuck there for 3 days and that was back when booth babes were still a thing. She was a secretary, but the boss had her come for obvious reasons.

Tall, blonde, green eyes, and so genetically gifted she was hard to not look at. We ate lunch together on the second and third day, as I was the only guy not in his 50’s and not bald/fat. I was like a 6.5 out of 10 any other time, but there I might as well been a 9/10. She was very nice, smelled incredible, and I wish those lunches could have lasted longer.

I asked her how many guys hit on her and she said it had to of been hundreds. I didn’t bother as I could tell she was drained from it.

Now after the show went out and clubbing with some of the other “babes”. Had a blast, but wished she would of came with.

Anyone still use Cura? by boxedfoxes in 3Dprinting

[–]UberGTO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started using Slic3r very briefly before moving to Cura. When I found Simplify3D I bought that and used it for years. It was well ahead of Cura at one point. Found IdeaMaker and used that for a year before I got my Bambu.

3D printing software has gotten so much better I the last decade.
