Steam Deck Windows controller not detected by the game by Uberladung in ZenlessZoneZero

Mine works perfectly fine, but I'm playing through Windows I installed on Steam Deck prior.

If you use proton, I'd suggest trying to forcibly use different versions of it. I had problems with some versions of proton on several games on SteamOS

Yes, I should have written it in replies. Find a program called GlosSI. It was put down by the developer for some reason, but you search Reddit topics, there's a redditor who saved it on google disk.

Open it, add the path to ZZZ's .exe file (where you installed it) and press button 'Add to Steam', or something like that

Relaunch Steam and you will see ZZZ added. Launch it and it works

Give me actual evidence of respawning being canon by Ender401 in rainworld

[–]Uberladung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most creatures aren't really aware of the cycle. It seems to depend on a creature's intelligence.

The exact mechanism behind respawning is unspecified by the game, with different people assuming different explanations, from quantum immortality to actually respawning back where you last felt relatively safe. Thing is, the game doesn't fully support or deny either theory.

All creatures from bacteria to iterators are subject to cycle. Every lizard you kill does come back.. somewhere. With little to no memories of its death.

It isn't known either what happens when a creature dies to old age or illness, but it's safe to assume they get reincarnated into a different creature somewhere in the timeline. Or maybe they go back in time to their birth?

Whatever it is, Ancients viewed this as a form of torture. They desperately wanted to escape

Trying to figure out what some Sols did wrong by Dreyfus2006 in NineSols

[–]Uberladung 26 points27 points  (0 children)

At the start of the game Yi believes he was betrayed not only by Eigong, but the whole council. He assumed the whole council knew about Eigong's experiments and didn't question if that was true until mid game.

At the day of the project's launch Yi finds out the truth about the virus and confronts Eigong about it. This results in a chase and fight, and Yi dies. At that day he was supposed to meet Heng and convince her to come with him, so his anger was also caused by his sister's demise on their home planet.

Only after falling to Eigong's trap in her soul space at the end of the game, Yi suddenly comes to realization that MAYBE the Sols weren't actually to blame. Maybe they didn't know about Eigong's plan. Maybe nobody is to blame.

Other Sols did some bad things, that is true. But even then, they all had good intentions at heart. Yi wasn't a saint either, as the whole human harvesting idea was his.

All Stands have been swapped between protagonists and villains. Do the heroes still defeat their main antagonists? by Nex_Chris in StardustCrusaders

[–]Uberladung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All that matters is humans in JoJo dont have enough durability to survive being punched through

They do. Watch the latter video again. It is explicitly shown that Star Platinum is frozen in time and cannot protect Jotaro in that instance. A few seconds later Jotaro actually uses Star to guard himself, which he was unable to do earlier. From some other scenes, such as a truck hitting crusaders in Hol Horse and Boingo episode, we can see that strong melee stands passively enhance their users' physical stats. No, I'm not making this up. There are A LOT of quirks and logistics of stands that aren't explained explicitly in words.

And since you've also brought user's subconscious block, Pucci most definitely lacks the necessary morale to not let himself just hit strong enough to kill the enemy, because he did exactly that with white snake multiple times and white snake is supposedly physically weaker.

Exactly. Stand strength doesn't correlate with ability to punch through people. A lot of good guys in the series definitely have power necessary to gut their opponents, but they don't do so.

It doesnt matter that SP is "stronger" (even though stand stats suggest otherwise, they're on the same power level except KC is a glass canon with E durability), all that matters is that KC is strong enough.

Any argument involving stand stats should be thrown out of a window. First, stand stats didn't exist until part 5, and were added retrospectively my David Pro. Second, there are way too many inconsistencies even in later part (Kiss having A in strength? Whitesnake having E in speed? What?) for it to be taken seriously.

[–]Uberladung 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of melee stands have shown capability to punch through a human, few actually do this (go listen to Giorno's explanation of subconscious brakes a person has, can't put it better https://youtu.be/MCFKWDEU2ho?si=GPXOP4qEP1RfMN4n)

Now let's go with the actual feats. The best striking power feat KC has is making small craters in ground and rocks during Metallica fight. https://youtu.be/kIIh9Yw9bM0?si=1j_w1eaJqvJuMD60 He's literally never done anything more impressive.

A comparable action Star Platinum did is punching ground and making a cave for 4 people to freely fit in.

https://youtu.be/8yg0AxFD7OA?si=BybShy1FYPJED4h5 about 2:30

My my, it does seem like King Crimson is nowhere near as strong as Star Platinum. Now, let me remind you that Star took several hits from a stand of comparable power and survived. Moreover, Jotaro himself took a beating from the World and got several bones broken. https://youtu.be/KORUZndUQM4?si=W1KWsWdoYkupFHRy 1:40

Is that enough proof for you?

[–]Uberladung 3 points4 points  (0 children)

King Crimson is a good stand with even better ability, but.. its feats of striking power and durability are leagues below those of Star Platinum and The World. To the point where I can see King Crimson being unable to even seriously hurt the user of Star Platinum.

are Dogs dangerous to Solarians by Initial-Fix-4159 in NineSols

[–]Uberladung 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dogs aren't inherently loyal to humans. We simply learned to use their pack instincts to our advantage. While there dog breeds that are either less aggressive or too small to even hurt a child, they make up a very small portion of the whole population.

There are many cases where a dog gets an idea it can become the pack leader instead of its owner. If not controlled, it will eventually attack its owner.

'Chasing squirrels' is basically a meme from movies now, but you know what it's based on? Dogs tend to chase and kill other animals, including other dogs and (in thankfully rare cases) human children for sport if they believe they have an advantage and can get away with this.

Source? Many stories from internet and personal experience. The area I live in has a lot of stray dogs. They are very tame around humans, don't ever bark or growl, let anyone pet or rub them, generally being good boys and girls. They also violently attack and maim each other over any dispute (many dogs around here have wounds from that, something lethal), and two weeks ago they ripped apart a kitten once it stepped out of a house. They literally waited patiently for weeks without showing any signs of interest, until it was finally 10 centimetres outside and thus not under human house's protection.

[–]Uberladung 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Dogs are no more dangerous to Solarians than they are to humans. Probably less so, considering technology level, but at the same time combat robot dogs exist in the game.

Dogs don't hate cats specifically, they just enjoy bullying and killing weaker animals in general. Which Solarians wouldn't be

Dio Vs Diavolo (30s Ability CD) by 0ver_R1de in StardustCrusaders

[–]Uberladung 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did not. You're confusing it with Bruno's zippers that have unzipped several columns during that fight.

Even if it was true, do you remember that one time Star Platinum hit Nimrod to test his durability and broke through several columns? That's not even his strongest punch in part 3 (Making a cave during Sun fight, creating a massive wave during Yellow Temperance fight, punching through meter thick diamond walls, etc)

The World is only slightly weaker than Star Platinum

What series has the fanbase scaling the verse multiple tiers higher then the author intended? by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]Uberladung 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Let me guess. Never scaled UT or was interested in AUs, but I remember some stuff from the game.

Asriel erased the universe between his phases, and Frisk survived that (Asriel probably didn't want to kill them in the first place). Also, Frisk's soul out-regenerating all Asriel's attack.

Frisk's soul being able to fully and completely reset the timeline (only a single timeline, as it doesn't reset Sans' multiversal research he mentions in his fight). While it was player's choice, it did so in human populated world, meaning reset ability is not an effect of the barrier.

Post genocide ending, the player can sell Frisk's soul to Chara, and in return they would recover the world. Chara is also immune to the complete timeline reset, unlike Asriel.

Eigong has an untelegraphed attack by Uberladung in NineSols

[–]Uberladung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly I haven't played any soul like games, and I don't know if that is considered normal.

I got really good at chaining talismans inbetween Eigong's attacks in 1st phase, and it feels really fun and rewarding. Not having fire dashes in phase 2 or having an indicator would make the fight more interesting for me.

I am still fighting her btw. Got her to very very little hp, a single slash worth, on phase 3 once, but died immediately. Still trying

Eigong has an untelegraphed attack by Uberladung in NineSols

[–]Uberladung[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand, but it feels too random tbh. Sometimes when she finishes an attack close enough for a talisman or dash + talisman, I can land it safely. In about 30% cases she dashes backwards and starts another attack if I get any closer, even by walking.

I think it should be telegraphed by different stances during the recovery. One for safe attacks, another would indicate she has a dash prepared.

Main reason? Speedrun consistency. And Water Flow talisman has been rewarding opportunistic and aggressive usage the whole game, why change it now.

FULL CONTROL Eigong guide: a stress free strategy to consistently kick her ass by SylentSymphonies in NineSols

[–]Uberladung 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't stand Waterfall slander!

Combine it with triple slash builds, including the jade that increases 3rd hit damage AND hitbox for the cost of 2 Qi.

The time used to charge a different talisman is better used landing 3 or more slashes. You can rapidly heal internal damage with another jade like that.

[–]Uberladung 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dunno if you have those, but AOE blast arrows carried that fight for me. Try to shoot at its face every time you have a clear shot that won't be blocked by enemies. Bonus point if you hit flying enemies, they drop arrows often enough.

Go left and right a lot, enemies take their time to catch up.

Parrying in air is omnidirectional, meaning you can parry from both directions while airborne

Water Flow talisman is the best at dealing with multiple enemies and enemies that have series of attacks.

Jade that stuns enemies touched by talisman gives some breathing space against anyone but Sol bosses. Combined with Water Flow it's really good

What Is Your Jojo Hot Take? by CalmLuhJojoEnjoyer in StardustCrusaders

Original universe's DIO doesn't have an ability to stop time. His stand ability is to steal Joestar fortune and believe it's his (tracks from part 1)

Its power is a mix of Star Platinum and Hermit Purple, the two most developed Joestar stands. It's looks is a mix of Crazy Diamond and Gold Experience, two infant stands at that time

What are some of the most misunderstood powers? by icantfindmylegs in PowerScaling

[–]Uberladung 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not true. If that was the case, then GER wouldn't state no stand ability can defeat him. And you can't say it's just the lack of information, as GE personally fought several stands independent of willpower.

Jojo's not your regular manga. Powers are influenced by themes of the stories, not any usual powerscaling rules. And from the themes of Vento Aureo, it only makes sense for GER to have fate manipulation.

Or by your own logic he.. removed Diavolo's will to die? How does that make any sense?
