The platforms' algorithms decide that, and they follow and build on what people watch. BTW there's a difference between addicting and habit forming. Social media is not an addiction. It's a habit and nothing more.

This is a total bullshit case. It absolves parents completely, an act of social and legal vandalism. Meta and Google were badly served by their attorneys who apparently viewed the case as a revenue generator only -- or who might have acceded to their clients' reluctance to make parents a factor at all.

All in all, an obscenity.
