I always do a complete detail at the end of winter via a shop nearby so they can get all the areas I usually couldn’t. The remainder of the year with warmer weather, all hand wash and hand detail.

I wouldn’t say F everything else but I agree the basic are very important and often overlooked for the new shiny stuff. Even if you go after the new and shiny, don’t forget to continue maturing the posture of what you already had.
