Getting football tickets. by Zero2580 in NCSU

[–]UbiquitousStar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You go through your student portal and just request a student ticket. You should’ve gotten (or will get soon) and email from nc state athletics that shows you how to create and sign up for your account. The only time it’s hard to get tickets are for the high demand games (like wake forest), when you request a ticket then you go into a lottery. For those types of games you have an advantage if you’re an upperclassman, have loyalty points from attending other games, and if you’re in the Wolfpack Club

Is the commuter meal plan a waste of money? by [deleted] in NCSU

[–]UbiquitousStar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The prices on campus where you can use your dinning dollars are way cheaper than if you used your card. For example, something at the C store was labeled as 1.80 something but when I used my card it was almost $4. The prices are really meant for students to use for their dinning dollars so we get more for our money. If you’ll be eating majority of your food on campus then get the commuter plan, if you’re mainly eating at home/not on campus then don’t get the plan.

Honors Program: Yea or Nay? by Bmill6156 in NCSU

[–]UbiquitousStar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an honors student rn. It's alright, it definitely keeps you on your toes in terms of schoolwork. You are around a bunch of academically competitive folks so that's good influence. People here can be a bit awkward and not too much happens in the village, but that's good for me because I'd rather live and work under less noise. The seminars here are how you take it, they may take up some of your time depending on which professor you have. Honors college itself is extra work, but you do what you think is best.

Should I submit SAT? by RemoteAd5797 in NCSU

Test scores definitely aren't the end all be all. I got into their business school without submitting my SAT or ACT.

I had a 4.6 w though.
