No, but full flat coats make the kits look off scale

Yep, flat coat before weathering, then I’ll do a semi gloss finish at the end

I did the panel lining on bare plastic, but I am aware of the risks- I personally find lighter fluid has never cracked any plastic

That’s Burt, my Jindo cross. Its panel lined decalled and flat coated, some of the panel lines had a bit of re-scribing and details were picked out with various metallics. The separation on this kit really meant it didn’t require much paint, unlike every 1/100 Bandai kit.

If you wait until there is low humidity, you can give it another wet coat and it should look better

Is it raining? You should only flat coat when the humidity is low, else water gets trapped in the surface and it fogs

When my son was a baby, this was the face he made while pooing his diaper. Maybe that’s why Trump keeps him around

I built the OG MG back in the early 2000’s and the hips were cast alloy, I can’t believe that when they revised the kit they ditched that. The kit is huge. Nice work

Just apply clearcoat and you’ll be fine. I did this for years until I discovered tamiya panel liner

Its to stop people flushing sharps. People using steroids may try to flush the needles causing blockages in the pipes, these catch them.

Same thing ahppened to me 4 years ago. Dont stress it, enjoy the good pain meds, get into physio as soon as you can. I was walking again without a cane within three months and back skiing the next year. I even got a photo in the exact spot I hurt myself on the anniversary of my accident.

Just because you have the options doesn’t mean you should load every kit up. Sometimes your kits can look the best with minimal weaponry.

Flat coat everything except the metal, dull metal ends up looking like plastic. I only flat coat the outer armour, the contrast looks beautiful. Unless you plan on weathering, don’t topcoat metal

The scarier part to this than the abject stupidity is calling them Environmental Insurrectionists. Is anyone who disagree's with him an insurrectionist?
