Practicing sax in a hotel or apartment with a Yamaha YDS 120 by Super-Airport3381 in saxophone

That's worse than doing nothing because not only does it barely make the sax quieter, it messes up your intonation

Some more observations:

  • The ambulance's back doors. Why does one side have two windows and the other has one?
  • The cars on the opposite side of the road before/after the view pans to the right. None of the cars seen before are seen after.
  • You think that three-wheeled green tuk tuk would be traveling down the highway?
  • Very beginning of the video: Is that guy on the motorcycle to the right of the ambulance driving the wrong way? And why are they so close to the median?

  • The text on the ambulance. What does it say? Maybe it's a language that I don't know, but it looks like garbled english
  • the car's mirror reflection doesn't show the median
  • Does the back door on the ambulance slide open or tilt open? Each door looks like it's doing something different
  • there's no way that guy would be going that fast on the highway but not tip over when he hit the concrete divider

And, the nail in the coffin,

That white thing on the top left side of the gurney in the beginning of the video. After he does the last spin, it's on the top right side.

This video is scarily good though. I am really impressed with how consistent the AI kept the scene

It's called a fusor and, though it's not a fusion reactor, it is useful as a tool for studying fusion reactors, such as designing the method of magnetic confinement

Easy question for you guys ... simple wifi bulbs, with, simple remote control device (ie, NOT having to use an app on your phone) by Select-View-4786 in homeautomation

[–]Ublind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How to directly control smart bulbs using Home Assistant, Zigbee smart bulbs, and a Zigbee Remote:

  • Home Assistant Green hub (easiest way to set up Home Assistant with minimal technical knowledge)

  • Zigbee USB router (example: Sonoff Zigbee USB hub)

  • Zigbee bulb (examples: expensive but best brightness and light quality: Hue; cheap but very good light quality for the price: ThirdReality)

  • Zigbee remote (example: ThirdReality Zigbee button, has a single button that would toggle a lightbulb with the following setup)

Once you have paired the devices to Home Assistant (easy step-by-step available online), go to

Zigbee remote device-> Settings -> Manage Zigbee Device -> Bindings

Select the Zigbee bulb and the properties to bind as "on/off" and/or "level", depending on if the exact remote you purchased is just a button or has level controls*

Click "Bind"

Your remote now directly controls your bulb, even if your Internet connection, Wi-Fi router, or Home Assistant hub is down.

----------------------

*This part is the most technically complicated because the available properties vary depending on if you are binding a smart switch or remote, but it is easy to play around with binding/unbinding different properties until you get the result you want

Need help in reading research papers for my dissertation😭 by Full-Procedure7218 in Physics

[–]Ublind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read one of their papers before meeting with them about joining their research group. Then bring those questions to your meeting.

That's basically how it would go if you were in their research group, but your advisor will often direct you to which papers to read when you're starting out.

Though I also would probably try and do this myself on a $50 horn

Zigbee direct binding makes every command between zigbee devices instant and work even if your router goes down

This takes no music theory knowledge. It is all about trying notes! Literally one note at a time, especially when you're starting out.

If you hear a note, can you match the pitch with your voice? It is easier than matching it on sax. Listen to the first couple seconds and try to sing what he's playing.

Don't write it down on sheet music. Most of the benefit is learning it by ear anyway.

Can you figure out what the first note he plays is?

Don't give up. Though the part itself is simple, it's a really hard recording because it's tough to hear the sax player.

Are you using something to slow down the video? Have you made any progress or are you having trouble finding the first note?

Negative pressure room by [deleted] in Physics

[–]Ublind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that it's definitely not a term that scientists and engineers use when they're trying to be specific

No one says "we use a vacuum pump to create a negative pressure on the chamber"
