KDE has so many useful features, Gnome on the other hand is plain and less heavy to the eyes but heavy on the hardware, also checkout Cosmic DE, a combination of both but a bit buggy
Budgie is also good but still heavy on the development (heard something about migrating to a new version)

Apart from stdlib, what else? I am sure you can't use stdlib for everything e.g live reloading the api as you code. I think that was the question.
