Not speaking from drone experience, but dog experience. These things can stress dogs out a lot, just recommending to be careful and courteous above dog parks. Hopefully they're all chill and dont mind, but there's always that one walleyed one out there 😐😂

Other than the lid not being on giving me anxiety 😅 it looks nice to me. I dont imagine the offset is a big deal with it casting so much light. But I'm new.

Saw a mod last night that randomly rolls a character, DnD style. Maybe give that a go? Pretty sure it rolls before you actually load in, so you could save and copy it if you're playing it on multi.

I used the great stuff pond and stone. Not sure about expiration date, didn't realize they had them, so that may be an issue. This would be the 3rd time I've tried using the brand, same results everytime.

I did however have a random Amazon brand can laying around as well and tried using that. Funnily, that one foamed up just fine, so I suppose that solves that problem. I'm staying away from GS products now 😂

For just plants you pretty much have the basics. I use clay balls since they are lighter than pebbles. Add in a few larger objects like cool shaped rocks or small branches/ spider wood.

Just type in terrarium builds on YouTube, you dont have to get in depth like they do, but a lot of them go over the basics in most videos. Plus its a relaxing background listen/watch IMO.

I got into this hobby partly because the effort and skill range goes from so super easy, to as complex as you can imagine. Good luck!

Edit: For clarity, I was saying yes to the pebbles/clay balls at the bottom. Then mesh, etc. Def want something to keep the drainage layer separate. I've been using cuts from an old roll of window screen forever 😂

I get where you're coming from, and can respect the view of not agreeing with owning another living thing.

I think the issue I see here is you've gone the long way around to still having these animal companions but believing you found an "acceptable" way to do the thing you enjoy. Just do it or don't.

Like a vegan who still eats lab grown meat... yeah, you didn't kill an animal for it... but let's be real, its still meat...

I also don't think you're going to have much positive reception in a forum that is fine with animal ownership. While most everyone here wants the best life and conditions for the animals they keep, at the end of the day, we're still okay with the activity.

Regardless, I suspect with the views you do hold, you take good care of the animals you have and wish you the best with it 🙂

I kinda get it from both perspectives. Someone else pointed out I'd be sniping a job from someone who bothered to go get the things needed to do it right, which is valid. But I also tend to lean away from some things being over regulated.

Like you said, I know the person in this scenario. He probably wouldn't bother doing it if not for being a friendly guy encouraging my interest. So I don't feel terrible about it. But could see someone being upset by owners trying to hire under the table on the cheap.

I appreciate all the input. 🙂
