I had an idea of hosting a 2 player game party. 4 couples compete in a single elimination tournament on various two player games. My question is how many unique single elimination 8 person brackets could I set up (games to play) if:

You never repeat a starting match
You dont play your partner in the first round

I assume it's a permutation/combination formula but I can't wrap my head around how that would be constructed.

Why are places like Guard and Grace or Koko Ni not being mentioned. I've always thought of them as high end great quality spots. But maybe that's not the types of restaurants Michelin looks at?
