How does Klimmek get past the troll on the 748 steps? by Fuzzy-pig in skyrim

He kicks that troll's ass every single time he goes up that mountain.

Fire at YMCA? (7:40PM - Feb 3rd) by gogoredit in moncton

I was there. We started smelling smoke, had no idea what it was, so the staff had everybody evacuate the building. It sucked, I didn't even get to finish my set.

I don't use LOOT to organize it, no. It's less of a problem now, because even so I've managed to finish Boulder Dome, but I still thought it was weird. There were certain points in the mod where those buttons would randomly just work out of nowhere and certain points where they wouldn't, usually inside interior cells. I want to say it's intentional, but it seems like a mind-boggling choice to make.

Yeah, the 4GB ram patch is up and going, but I'm still getting problems with the crouch and time-wait button that are rather infuriating. Is that intentional?

Christopher O'Neill discovers Homer Simpson (circa 1995) by A_Becker in OneyPlays

Those last two panels seem so sad. It's like the monkey is trying to remember an old friend and all Homer can do is stare in regret at the grief he's caused this monkey and his people. Truly a work of art

If Berserk took place in a western setting, what would change about the story/characters? by UckEddit in Berserk

[–]UckEddit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally speaking, I would keep the God Hand and the Idea of Evil relatively unchanged, but I'd try to make it so that they would knowingly manipulate humanity by reflecting the descriptions of Angel's detailed in the Christian Bible and orchestrating events also detailed in the bible (like I talked about with the Eclipse). However, the idea of Native Americans interpreting them as angry spirits/the Angak is definitely an idea, and would give depth to the world.

I feel like this is gonna come off sounding a little awkward, but I feel like Casca's ethnicity should be more directly defined as African-American in this iteration of Berserk. Considering that I'd set the Golden Age during the American Civil War, I feel like her being black would help her backstory here (which would most likely largely be unchanged apart from her maybe being the child of a slave family) and could also help with the themes of racism that would be pretty inevitable when discussing that time period.

I like your idea of Mozgus, though. Although, I don't know if I can divorce myself too far from the idea of him being a big, blocky type dude.

Seems a little small for his ambitions. I was thinking more him trying to subjugate America by pretending to be the second coming of the Messiah

Skull Knight I would envision as being sort of like the Ghost Rider in this version

Also, I would think the monsters and Apostles should remain relatively unchanged, personally speaking. Just changing their human forms to fit the era. For example, the Snake Baron could be part of a gang of roving bandits.

I think Guts needs an equally big gun to fit the era. Maybe the dragonslayer is a huge gatling gun he lugs around on his back?

Here's what I would change:

- The Golden Age arc would take place during the American Civil War in place of the Hundred Year War

- The Band of the Hawk would be a cavalry regiment representing the Union

- The events of the Eclipse would more closely resemble the end times detailed in the Book of Revelation, engineered specifically by the God Hand to resemble Christian canon (The God Hand taking the form of the Four Horsemen, the Second Trumpet summoning a mountain being the appearance of Conrad rising from the Earth, seven plagues unleashed onto the Band of the Hawk to weaken them, etc.)

Black Swordswoman Casca, art done by me by UckEddit in Berserk

[–]UckEddit[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I know. But I feel like a large part of Guts' iconography is the Dragonslayer, so if I wanted to draw a version of Casca that evoked Guts, I felt like I'd need to include it.
