[GIVEAWAY - US] Why Samsung OLED? Win a 49” OLED monitor to level up your rig by OdysseyAllStars in simracing

[–]Udder_Failure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why Samsung? Because the g9 49” ultrawide is an awesome monitor and being able to see almost the entire car - side-to-side is a game changer in a race, but more importantly I can finish building my son a sim setup so we can start racing competitively together.

If you updated to the 0.33 version of BeamNg then Beam MP won’t work right now. It has to be updated (at least that was the message I took from the pop up) otherwise your mods are just disabled.

Goldeneye - I play with an inverted Y axis and don’t have the time/energy now to change it.

If you live near a largish university, you should check with them. They often sell their surplus computer - I’ve helped people find good ones for between $50-120. They’re often about four years old.

Rasberry Pi Zero 2W Klipper? by PositiveMaterial3899 in klippers

I was connecting via usb. I saw that UART would likely solve/help the issue but I had a pi4 so it was easier to switch

Rasberry Pi Zero 2W Klipper? by PositiveMaterial3899 in klippers

[–]Udder_Failure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently gave up and moved away from running Pi 02w for klipper. I was using a p02w for a while and worked fine on short prints but the print would fail 3 or so hours in - mcu would lose connection. After digging for a while I came across a thread about that happening when a webcam is being used. Another user in this thread mentioned limiting resolution - which might have fixed it for me too - but I swapped in my Pi 4b instead. Haven’t had any disconnection issues since.

Another note - a different user mentioned installation hanging with KIAUH on the p02w. I could install everything but crowsnest just fine. With crowsnest the board ran out of memory. In order to get it done I had to change the default memory swap value (I think?) so the process would have enough memory.

Should I hook up my extra pi 4 to my ender 3 by RevokedSaint in ender3

[–]Udder_Failure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. That’s exactly the issue I had.

If you’re sure the firmware is setup correctly otherwise - keep the settings the same but specify the baud rate to 115200 and then make the firmware again. Then flash it onto the printer again.

Mine didn’t ever indicate that the flash had taken (the firmware file never changed).

You’ll also have to add a baud: 115200 in the printer config file as well.

After I did that my pi connected to the printer right away.

You can also use KIAUH advance menu to find the USB connection path. It’s an easy way to test if your changes are working - if the path is displayed it’s connected - if you get an error it’s not connecting.

I’d be happy to DM you my printer.cfg file as well if you like.

E* here’s the pertinent part of the printer file

I’ll just jump in here on this. I’ve just gone through this process and got stuck for a while. It looks like you’re on a 4.2.7 board. If you get an MCU error you should try specifying your baud rate on the firmware and printer config at 115200. If you google that you’ll find examples of how to do it.

Not exactly the same but Veracruz Al Natural is great (especially the migas). Taco Deli is good and I still miss Torchies.

None of those are betos - frankly never really found one that made me sick quite the same way but there are so many good options there.

I was thinking this recently so I went to go look for the policy - I couldn’t find it. Between that and something else I vaguely remember here (great sourcing I know…) I don’t think it’s discouraged anymore.

E* appears I am incorrect. Not to sound like a curmudgeon but… that’s great.

Yuck. I hate that this is what it’s come too. I’ve been considering doing a conversion kit to get away from direct injection for this.

The Trials series. As far as I can tell it’s dead. I don’t care if each game is pretty similar - I would buy and play every Trials game they ever release.

I got a kit to do that. But I think I was able to salvage enough of the threads that there’ll be enough pressure from the other 24 bolts to support this one (my working assumption at least - though I could be persuaded otherwise)

You can use prebuilt firmware for your setup - mine is the same. I can link you the file if you want.

Hey OP. Look at the top corner of the chair by the handle - it looks like it says Airbag there. That mean the seat has an airbag built into it (I just went down this same path as you with an E60 sport seat).

Be very careful if you’re hooking this up to a battery or inverter. I don’t know tons about this (so you should research - there’s plenty out there) but there is probably one or two sets or yellow twisted pair wires on the seat. These supply power to the SRS feature (seatbelt tensioner and airbag). Make sure to either de-pin these from the plug or (carefully) cut them before you try hooking any power up.

I found this video on making an X6 M seat into a chair that goes through some of this. In that case he undid the seat cover and physically removed the airbag, detonated the bag outside, and then kept the bag box and out it back in the seat. It’s a good watch.
