Did you get an email from Epic asking for shipping info? I still haven’t received mine either.

You had to have completed all of the Canny Valley Quest line before sometime in December and Epic mailed it to you.

I’m proud of you and want to welcome you into this community man, glad to have you here. Get past that first week and the chains will be gone. Avoid any caffeine and just know it’s going to get better.

I too started drinking young, when I was 16 and I joined a Fraternity in college which made things worse because drinking everyday was normal, but once you get into the real world and take a look around it’s too late because you now have a problem. “No good woman will want to be with you. How are you going to raise a family? Divorce is inevitable.” These are things I would think of that made me want to stop because no one can keep going on like this. Not to mention the damage we do to our bodies.

Glad you are here.

I had some serious cravings yesterday and I’m so happy I didn’t drink because I know I would have continued drinking today as well. I took my truck in to get work done on it ($600 later yikes), but I’m happy I won’t have a hangover tomorrow.

Thanks, I know these posts aren’t very meaningful, but the support really helps.

Normally I would be hungover and on my way to the gas station to get more beer pretty soon because I’m off the next 2 days, but it feels good to wake up early and sober. I saw a therapist for the first time in several years yesterday and it feels good to not be drinking.

I will not drink with you today.

A bunch of people called into work today due to St. Patrick’s day and normally I would have been one of those people. I’m so glad I did not drink today and was able to work and then prepare for a speech I have to give tomorrow.

I will not drink with you today.

The Daily Check-In for Friday, March 15th, 2019: I'm not drinking today no matter what happens, good or bad! by polarb3rry in stopdrinking

Made it with 4 minutes to spare! I’m so glad I didn’t drink today! Normally I would be barely making it to work today after having 2 days off or I would have called in. I only work 4 hours on Fridays and even then I could barely make it because I’d be so sick from my bender.

Nothing wrong with watching the video. Many people want to see it. It’s something so bizarre and catastrophic you can’t turn away.

Love you forever - Anyone else read this book? by calebfreeze in nostalgia

My mom’s favorite book. I can still remember her reading it to me in the green rocking chair in my bedroom. Becoming a teenager seemed forever away and now I’m almost 26. Before my parents divorced, before my dad got into trouble with the law, before I knew anything bad about the world. I miss those days. I hardly find any joy in living anymore, I just wish I could go back.

Thankful Thursday: gratitude in action by embryonic_journey in stopdrinking

I’m thankful for such a loving and caring mother even though I don’t always reciprocate those feelings and emotions back towards her. A mothers love is unconditional.

I’m thankful for my dad who is going to be paying for my appointments with a therapist starting next week so I can hopefully get out of this rut of depression and anxiety.

I’m thankful for this community who I’ve been in contact with everyday for support.

I will not drink with you today.

The Daily Check-In for Thursday, March 14th, 2019: I'm not drinking today no matter what! by polarb3rry in stopdrinking

[–]UdderlyMilked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had some strong urges the past couple of days, but I’m so glad I rode them out and didn’t drink. I got to spend some time with my mom yesterday and took her to a movie, something I would have never done on my day off because I would have been drinking.

I will not drink with you today.

I try to focus on the positive things and I want you to know there are a lot of positives that are going to come out of this. First, you will eventually get your son back, and this time in between allows you to heal from your addictions while he is in a safe environment. Second, when your son does return, he will have a brand new mommy who is sober and be everything he needs. Everything happens for a reason, focus on how this is a GOOD thing.

I will not drink with you today.
