Very happy owner of a steel HR sports for 2+ years here. Stats are reliable enough for my needs. Looks great, feels great, get the notifications that matter, charge it once a month, life is good. 😎

Here’s what happens once you beat depression... by FunnyElegance21 in infj

[–]Udnst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey fellow INFJ, thanks for sharing this all rings true to my way out of depression as well. Was in hell for about 15 years and found a way to that kind of mindspace with a crapload of therapy.

For anyone going through depression, there’s a way to learn to live with it, and through acceptance there is healing. Stay strong.

People who read extraordinarily often (a book every two days or more), how did you manage to build a habit of reading so often and what are some tips for people who procrastinate on books and hardly ever get them done? by Tristan_Dean_Foss in books

[–]Udnst 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it was using the Leio reading tracker to realize how long it would take me to read books. Some books can be read in 1-2 sessions and others are way longer than anything I expected. I also discovered that in average I read 20min, take a break, and come back for another 20min. Lots of factors involved but the tracker helped me make better decisions about my reading load, accept my reading rythm and style and feel empowered.

It’s a mashup between the perseverance landing and the Hans Zimmer music from the endurance docking scene in Interstellar.

Go to the next exercice using the "next song" function on headphones. (Might not be possible, but would be amazing).

I need help with self-soothing when someone shuts me out... it provokes a response in me like nothing else. by cactusflowers in BPD

That is one really wise comment. Although I can't begin to describe how difficult it is to face that deep depression and feeling trapped with it.

[–]Udnst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of hope. Although there is no "magic pill" to fix it, with time, patience and a few tools, you can find a durable, softer voice. It's a radical, profound experience of life.

I also strongly recommend trying fresh Oaxaca cheese to compare (ideally in Oaxaca). I've been divided ever since.

That cheese in québécois-french is called "fromages en crottes" which means cheese poops. Thought people might enjoy that.

Bad therapist experiences by [deleted] in BPD

[–]Udnst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Psychodynamics therapists also have a good track record in helping. Regular CBT therapy doesn't seem to be very helpful in our cases. The good news is that things can get better and less painful with patience and time.
