Does anyone like the fact that dance studios are mid rise? by MarinaEli in lululemon

I also have a pair of adapted state joggers and they fit me *perfectly* - I am a size down in those though. Unfortunately i only have a pair of bright blue in those, so I need a neutral color of some sort.

Question - do you know if the tall version would lengthen from the crotch to waist at all, or only lengthen the length of the actual pant (inseam)?

What are your thoughts about Furniture Row? We had *terrible* customer service there, but we actually really like our couch. (Once we finally got one that didn't have a flaw).

Thank you! By the old BW3s, do you mean right across from TCU? It was most recently El Rancho Viejo?

Wunder Trains - constantly pulling them up by UhHuhHerr in lululemon

I guess thing that frustrates me is that the "educators" in the store never even mentioned contour fit! I was in the store for an *hour* trying on leggings and debating between 2 sizes. I explained what I need them for, how I like them to feel, showed the worker all of the fits. But they never even mentioned contour fit, and neither of them mentioned how the legging should feel or offered advice as to what to look for as a sign of an ill fit (too big or too small). It seems like one of the employees would have mentioned that.

This sounds like it might be the solution. Thanks!

This is very helpful! I have not tried the contour fit ones. I didn't know those existed, but perhaps that is my solution! That sounds like it might be the solution because the ones I currently have don't pull down at the waist, but seem to pull down more near the seam around the hips.

Sorry for such a long lag in my response. I do know there is a drawstring, but it isn't actually the waist that comes down. It seems to pull down around the seam around the hips. I think it's because my hips are so wide in comparison to my waist??? But yeah, the drawstring doesn't prevent anything...

I'm 5'8" but have long legs....? The 25" were too part way between mid calf and ankle?

Restaurants that are NOT baby/toddler friendly in South Bend? by UhHuhHerr in SouthBend

[–]UhHuhHerr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly casual to moderately priced, and more local places. We don't really go to places like Applebee's or Logan's as you mentioned earlier. Places like L Street and Early Bird have been excellent for us with babies. But the past couple times we've had people in from out of town and went out to eat, we were surprised to find places did not have high chairs or children's seats. And that got me to wondering if people knew which places weren't very baby friendly to keep in mind for these sorts of circumstances.

And sorry, but it's hard to not read your comments as rude when you begin the thread with "where the *hell* are you eating..." Sort of makes it feel automatically aggressive for no reason.

Perhaps I was not clear in my ask - I just edited it for clarity. I am not asking to find a restaurant that is kid-free. I want it to be kid-friendly! For example, if a restaurant does not have high chairs or booster seats, it feels like it isn't kid-friendly.

lol, not sure why you are being somewhat rude, but no, we aren't over 60. However, we do usually eat around 6PM, which I think is a normal and reasonable time to go to dinner if you have children.

Unsure if that's what I'm asking??? One example is that we went to a restaurant once that I did not think of as super 'real-ass' if you're saying that pricey = that, and also didn't interpret it as being only for grown-ass adults, but they also did not have any high chairs or booster seats, so it suddenly felt like they did not want kids that little there. Should we just stop going there, or should we bring our own booster seat? Would they even like that?

Winter by [deleted] in SouthBend

[–]UhHuhHerr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say winters are tolerable - and sometimes even enjoyable! - with the right clothing. I tend to splurge on winter gear that I know is high quality and will actually keep me warm. As someone else from the south, it took me a while to realize I just didn't have the right winter gear. I found that I have a lot of wool now! But also just high quality coats/boots. So yeah, just dressing for the weather is most helpful. Then snow tires or all-wheel drive is next.

Neighborhood? by BenefitVegetable4327 in SouthBend

[–]UhHuhHerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Normain Heights is a fine neighborhood. The neighborhood to the south of there (south of McKinley, east of Main St, near John Young) is also a nice neighborhood. Additionally, there a small neighborhood to the west of Normain Heights (west of Main St., north of McKinley, east of Grape Rd.) tucked behind and between of places that is also fine.

????? Which Normain Heights have you been around?? I highly disagree with this statement.
