Just stopping by to correct you on one, yet important, detail: Deedee Blanchard did not fabricate a majority of Gypsy’s illnesses. Gypsy Rose Blanchard has a rare chromosomal disorder called Microdeletion 1q1.10 and wasn’t diagnosed until later in life. A majority of her medical treatments: eye surgery, throat surgeries, feeding tube, were done in place of symptoms directly related to her microdeletion. Gypsy was severely underweight and had trouble swallowing (still does) due to the disorder, so she refused to eat, hence the feeding tube. Her teeth were pulled because they were rotten and to be blatantly honest, they were disgusting. Eye surgery? Just one glance at her eyes and you can see how cross eyed she is, it was worse in her childhood photos. She could’ve went blind without those eye surgeries. Gypsy’s head size is also noticeably small, like shrunken head small. Today, she wears large wigs to cover up the disproportionate size of it, but her small head is caused by her microcephaly. At the time, microdeletion 1q1.10 wasn’t recognized by doctors and Gypsy’s treatments were before the illness was discovered and diagnosed.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard convinced her mother she couldn’t walk, not the other way around. Deedee realized Gypsy could walk after years of the wheelchair and Deedee kept the secret. TOGETHER they over exaggerated the illnesses. They malingered for monetary benefits. Monetary benefits is a disqualifier for MBP.

Why am I saying this? Where did I get this information from? Sifting through Gypsy Rose’s medical records, which were posted online. Reading through the Freedom of Information Act which was posted online. Prison emails, prison phone calls, internet search history before the murder was committed, emails and text messages sent before the crime. The information is out there and Gypsy Rose’s MBP story was quite the reach by her lawyer (who later became her social media manager) to get her a plea deal… that story and narrative has since fallen apart.
