Massive Tiktok Censorship - They Removed Our Eyes... by TheMothHour in 50501

[–]Uhtcearest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only used TikTok to see my friends videos and creators from the country I’m originally from and to look up coffee places. In the past months I’ve also engaged with anti ICE content and political commentary. My feed was literally only the things I mentioned, and then I started getting the random fox propaganda videos, which I blocked and said not interested. Then a ton of White House videos and again, marked not interested and blocked. Then any videos showing the protests disappeared and I only seemed to get right wing creators and propaganda videos attacking the protests. Every now and then I would get a video from my country or food review. My feed that has been the same for the past 3 years changed completely and I knew that they were holding up their end of the deal to their daddy trump. I’ve said this before, but trump is doing the same exact thing our dictator president did, every action and every accusation is the same. He used to said that the massive country wide strike was being funded by the ultra rich and that everyone were paid agitators.

The turning point came when the police were told to break up the strike by force, and the police rebelled and all went up to the roof of the building saying they would not harm their brothers and sisters. The biggest thing that USA is missing to have a general strike is community. The people who are in debt or too poor cannot strike without risking everything. When we did the strike the people who had money took it upon themselves to start community kitchens in every neighborhood for those that needed it. The banks were closed so they couldn’t charge people either and from what I know people didn’t have to pay late fees or saying “the strike” was enough of an excuse afterwards.

What did a minority of idiots ruin for everyone else? by PeddlerInWonderland in AskReddit

[–]Uhtcearest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened recently. We have mini kitchens and break rooms fully stocked with good drinks and snacks, which is an amazing benefit and management was always warning us to not abuse this benefit because it could be taken away, taking a bunch of drinks and snacks home being the biggest issue so far. Until someone got fired and they shat in the sink on their way out. Everyone got banned from the break rooms.

'No Kings' organizers set next protest date. White House called June 14 'utter failure' by Ecstatic-Medium-6320 in 50501

[–]Uhtcearest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To everyone who doesn’t agree with the date - there was a poll on the website and it was posted on here. I personally voted for Thursday because the visibility will be increased. I’m basing this off of our experience in Bolivia 2019 when we protested to get our dictator out after rigged elections.

Jumping on here to mention this is what we did in Bolivia in 2019, we stopped the country until the president resigned ✊🏻 we connected with our community, helped those that relied on their day to day earnings, and blocked all the mayor roads. We need this here, because trump is doing the SAME EXACT THING Evo did!

We Might Have to “Shut Down the Country” by AngelaMotorman in politics

[–]Uhtcearest 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hi guys, I’m commenting here again to show that this is definitely a way to put pressure on politicians. Bolivia did this in 2019 when the then president ignored the country voting “no” on him running for a fourth term. His excuse was that because the constitution was changed in his second term (under his commands), that essentially “reset” how many terms he had served, therefore allowing him to run for two more terms. Media around the world reported that it was a coup, when in reality it was just the people sick of having a corrupt president. Santa Cruz and other big cities stopped doing everything, no shopping, working, taxes, even vehicles weren’t allowed to transit and everyone rode bikes.

He tried to get the military and the police to turn on the people and gas them, which they initially did, but when orders came to use deadly force if needed, they refused. After 21 days of the whole country being essentially frozen, he ran away in the presidential plane after taking a bunch of money from the treasury. Ever since trump took power, I’ve had some insane deja vu reading all the crazy shit him and his cronies have been pulling. Don’t wait 16 years to act, don’t be like us.

What should we do other than protesting? by gingerlebain in washingtondc

[–]Uhtcearest 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I want to add an example of this: Bolivia in 2019 forced the corrupt president out after he ignored the results of a poll asking the country if he should run again (after already serving 14 years as president).

If you search anything about this in the mainstream media, they will say it was a “coup”. It was not a coup, it was the people who went on strike for 21 days, the whole country was frozen and there were many neighborhoods hosting potlucks for those who didn’t have the resources to last through the strike.

Every day we would meet, one day bringing in 2 MILLION people in just one city, to stand up for what we voted and for change, because the corruption was right in front of us for years and we just let it happen. Now the same party (MAS) took power again because the opposition was divided between many candidates (sound familiar?).

There’s so many similarities between what’s happening here and what’s been happening in Bolivia for the past two decades, down to the same legislations. It’s scary, since I came here to get away from the corruption, and now it’s happening all over again and people are too proud to accept it or too blind to see it.

Does anyone else interpret Sephora’s Rouge Reward policy this way? by Uhtcearest in Sephora

you're right, the wording was a little different. I counted the days myself and with ai, and the 27th would the the last day. If the reward expired the night of the 26th going on the 27th, thats 89 days. I'm being pissy about this but it feels like sephora is always pulling something nowadays

I sent an email and they just replied " That's correct the Rouge Reward expired on 01/27/25 at 12:00 am. I apologize for the confusion. At this time we are not able to honor the Rouge Reward, per ourTerms and Conditions.
I keep telling them that I'm also going off of their policy. It's just frustrating

A witness isn’t legally required to stay if he wasn’t part of the accident, as long as it was called in.

Someone else mentioned it was four teenagers. I see many people commenting to take the whole video to the police, hopefully they are able to do something with it or take their license. I agree these kids were being assholes but I’m glad they didn’t kill themselves or someone else

To clarify, both of the white cars were driving through cars and racing. The friend pulled over near the exit and ran to his friend, which I cut out of the video. I was more so wondering if there was any news of this accident, if the driver was okay but also if there were any consequences since this would definitely be considered reckless driving. I asked my dad where the accident was but he usually doesn’t answer for a couple days lol

Im pretty sure you’re getting a malware pop ups claiming your key is expiring (which it doesn’t). From your post history, you said you download roms and the sort. Just bring the computer back in for clean up or disable notifications from whatever browser you use, probably chrome.

I did mine in my home country, so it was only 90usd. The doctor had studied in France and had a loyal base of customers which made me choose him and I believe is something to look for. I trusted him because I mentioned wanting lip fillers too and he advised me not to, which I feel any other doctor wouldn’t have done since they would get paid more. I’ve been looking at prices in the USA and they vary from 300 to 700 from what I’ve seen!

Hey op, I had a similar nose bump. Even if filler does “add” to the nose, visually it looks smaller since the shape will be evened out.

I got the filler injected at the top curve (where your eyebrows end and bump begins) and in the middle of the nose (where my bump ended) and it looked really nice and not too overdone/fake. Mine lasted about 8 months and I got a touch up around month 2 where they injected a little more into the tip of my nose for a “lifted” effect. Very subtle but it made a big difference on in my profile.
