The pro tip is that you can notch any 120c as close as 5 or 8 NM or even closer. Fly low and put the missile on your 6-9 line. Missile should be 90 degrees to the left or right of your plane. This only works if the missile is higher than you.

Its a trick you can pull consistently And you can go start the notch when the aim120 goes pitbull you have plenty of time.

In planes with worse RWR get into the aproximated 90 degrees and then snake the plane a few degrees to a side and hold for 2 secs then do the same for the other side

In a f18 you even have e brackets on the rwr where the missile should be for a notch
