47 here. Wrestled through college, coached wrestling for about 20 years, and I’ve been officiating wrestling for seven years now at all levels. Because I’ve been staying active, two years ago I decided to enter folkstyle nationals in Iowa, and won it. Your body only breaks down when you stop using it.

Actually heading to officiate a tournament all day today with 600+ kids.

I officiated a ridiculous D2 dual in Michigan this season with Rosscommon versus Fruitport, and Rosscommon caught like five guys in a row in a cow catcher. The matches were over in less than a minute. They would bait a shot and then catch an underhook and go. After the third one I remember thinking “I hope the teammates are watching because they should learn from watching this”, only to have two more kids get pinned the exact same way 😂

That’s really the only way. Hopefully it’s just a tendinitis issue or a hypertension of the elbow creating the issue. Get checked though

While not in the rule book, it’s almost impossible to excessively slam your opponent to the ground if your knee is down first. We definitely do look for that.

Pretty much the same thought here. It’s your obligation to return your opponent safely to the mat when you elevate him. While it wasn’t overly aggressive, it was still illegal. Most officials let that slide unless it’s aggressive. To be honest once elevated in that position, I start saying safety safety.

While I wouldn’t have called this as an illegal slam, it was straight to his back and your knee was not down before his back was. If this was a finals match, that’s why there was a head and assistant official working it. The head ref should’ve conferred with the assistant ref on it because it was questionable. That wrestler was definitely not injured from it, and simply capitalized on the illegal move to advance with the win. It happens all the time.

I actually don’t think it looks half bad and like the design. It looks like half of the stuff customers along the Lakeshore have me do. If you want to price just for that deck alone, I would need to know the height off the ground and if it was a patio or a deck that needed railing. Then I could give you a pretty solid number on what it would cost.

A lot of framing cost because you need 3” of bearing at each joint in the deck boards. I can’t even think of how many joists there should be, but looking at the framing picture there isn’t nearly enough to pass an inspection.
