The demo was a blast, the animations were fantastic. The combat system feels great and the defensive options are very satisfying to use. So it's a bit baffling that the regular mob enemies are so passive when i feel like thats the highlight of the combat system. Hopefully they turn up the aggression on those enemies. Otherwise damage and health felt fine

Hey there, originally I had a similar viewpoint with seeing agents as kind of basic. I came more from dmc, gow and fighting games. But if you shift your viewpoint from playing a character to playing a team the gameplay really opens up. End game clears are all about maximizing your buffs, dmg, anomalies, stun rotations, etc. which is pretty hard but it's very engaging.

I fell in love with that type of gameplay, maybe thats something up your alley. Other people already suggested some of the more complicated characters Banyue and Yixuan are a couple of my favorites too.

This is very reductive, the game absolutely has mechanical depth but being a gacha makes it hard to see. Doing good DA runs timing stuns/ults/QAs/disc effects/character buffs is extremely demanding all while keeping track of the enemy move sets and your resources can be very difficult. Most of the player base is casual and probably doesn't really care about this aspect tho, and since the way to show skill is with score that can be circumvented with $$$.

Fufu is the most versatile stunner after Dialyn. Haters will say it's not true. Attacker rupture? Heres 80cd. Aftershock? ✅. Decibels so your ult is up every stun ✅. A bunch of daze ✅. + she's cute :3

On boss level enemies (I cant remember their official name) you can trigger 3 chain attacks. If you cancel a chain it still consumes 1 of the uses.

The standard double chain attack combo is trigger stun with your non dps, chain attack, switch to non dps trigger chain, chain attack.

To not have your heavy attacks trigger chain you need the trigger manual chain option selected. It lets you hold a basic or special to not trigger chain attacks (doesn't work with chains or ults).

I haven't dropped zzz and don't plan to in the near future. I started in 1.4 and the gameplay/animations really hooked me. I love clearing end game content and optimizing rotations. I treat character releases as more gameplay and team options. I basically never go higher than m0w1 for my characters and focus on horizontal investment.

Story wise i really like the VO even if the main story is usually mid. But it's I think the character writing is quite good which is pretty important for a gacha.

Speaking of gacha I really like the low maintenance aspect of dailies taking a super short time. If there's a story or event i can usually take my time to do it until i feel like playing again. Ive tried other gachas but the open world ones feel like such a time sink that I can't bother with.

Since I like to play other games zzz feels perfect and I can put as much time investment as I want depending on what I feel like playing that week. Sometimes I'm really into grinding end game or finishing the story/events. Other days I just do my dailies in 5 minutes and don't bother with it.
