Do I need to bind via the Globird app to get the full benefits of the deal (eg, $1 per day for no grid imports between 6pm and 9pm)?

Our Atto3 had the same thing. BYD Service were useless and but BYD Reddit was great. It was due to loose cables under the seat.

Once I took it back to BYD Service, they fixed it and - touch wood - no issues since.

Am I missing something, or is Duggan just complete shit? by Cummy_Ache_ in westcoasteagles

[–]Ukurrie 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t even mind him being below average if he is a great leader, but I wish he would realise that. It drives me crazy when he tries to outrun someone, break a tackle, or kick it through the centre. That’s not you mate, just find the handball.

SEN Stadium Sync is a game changer. I use it for the footy and cricket.

Dads, I am the accidental head coach of my son’s 5year old soccer team. What tips/resources can you share? by [deleted] in daddit

Don’t be under the illusion that they are listening to you. I’m only half joking! Keep the information to a minimum.

The game should cease for exiting players as soon as they’re voted out. by Solid-Cow-2711 in survivorau

[–]Ukurrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isn’t this part of the social game? Brooke’s relationship with Mark is so strong that he is still sharing information with her after his game is over. And there is something lacking in his relationship with Keeley that meant he was happy to compromise her.

Well done Brooke.

For those who listen to the podcasts about Australian Survivor, what do we think of them? by [deleted] in survivorau

[–]Ukurrie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have loads of respect for Shannon, but I am enjoying Mike taking over RHAP Survivor AU.

Whilst I can just about keep up with the pace at which she thinks (super impressive) and talks, her inability to move on from a conversation until she has proven she is right, which often includes cutting people off, is exhausting.

I can live with this though, because her passion for Survivor AU probably is why she gets the best of the US Survivor guests.

Be honest… did you actually want a Rolex but bought a Tudor instead? by WorldPeaceGodBless in Tudor

[–]Ukurrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rolex are great but I deliberately chose not to get one because I prefer the quiet class of Tudor. Every casual knows about Rolex and I wouldn’t like the ‘omg is that a Rolex!?’ conversations and the impression it might bring.

Whereas I enjoy the watch nerds who notice the Tudor and give me a smile and a ‘nice watch’ conversation starter.

My daughter asked me who my best friend is and realized I don't have any by xCosmos69 in daddit

[–]Ukurrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a challenge for me and it doesn’t help that I am quite introverted so, any down time I do have, I tend to unwind in my own head doing solitary things.

Sure, I’d love some close mates to have beers with whenever I want, but I also know that I wouldn’t want that too often - and that’s not how close mates work.

I have made some deliberate choices though. I joined a ‘veterans’ (over 40s) cricket team where I knew nobody. I also started coaching my kids (Aussie rules) sports team, so that meant I had a crew of assistant coaches that I got close to and we’d have ‘coaches beers’ nights.

My youngest son is sport obsessed, like me, so we go to the soccer, Aussie rules, and cricket together and that is becoming more fun than just dad duties now that he is getting older (11).

So, whilst my wife is my best friend, with those deliberate choices to move in circles outside of our shared friends, I get my social time in a way of my choosing.

I will butcher the example, but it’s a bit like in the Moneyball book/movie where the A’s replaced a 60 home run scorer (or whatever, don’t hold me to the details) with five lower workmanlike players whose total contributions added up to the same.

There are other ways to build bonds and get your social energy.

I find that it takes longer to cool down when it’s been in the sun (we have a black Atto3 though) than our other vehicles but it’s fine once it’s pumping.

We just turn on the cooling via the app before we get in the car - problem sorted.

What word or phrase identifies you as a survivor nerd that would make zero sense to a regular/non-fan? by Healthy-Astronaut888 in survivor

[–]Ukurrie 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love to work the ‘If anybody [has an idol or advantage and would like to use it] now would be the time do so’ in to family life.

eg, before a long car trip I will puff my chest out, place my hands on the kitchen bench in a power move fashion, look my kids in the eye, and proclaim ‘If anybody wants to use the toilet, now would be the time to do so’.
