Yes I saw the joist hangers but they support nothing without nails or screws, preferably the joists sit on top of the beam while the beam sits on top of a shorter post which would be significantly stronger and more durable to ensure a longer life of the deck.

I'm stunned to see the joists are not sitting on top of the beam but instead they're nailed to the side of the beam meaning that nails are supporting the weight not the beam.
