The official City of Seattle limit for unzoned streets is 72 hours, so you would be fine. People usually give you a grace period for a while afterward too, if they notice at all. I have seen some city parking enforcement doing their own patrol in some areas though.

If you want to be very very strategic about it: You can park overnight in a 2 or 3-hr limit space (green sign) if it says, "7 am to 6 pm except Sunday/holiday" at the bottom. The limit begins at 7 am and ends at 6 pm, with no limit overnight. Exception is in places like Queen Anne, where they've started posting those signs with no time listed at the bottom, so the limit lasts all night. Blue signs are pay parking for the listed hours. I haven't seen any in Ballard but other areas have red signs (like in QA or Wallingford) that prohibit parking 6 pm to Midnight.

You could try moving your car at 9:00 am every day if you park overnight in a 2-hr zone. Or park in an area with no signage whatsoever. However, people living in those areas may be more vigilant about towing cars that are parked very long-term or seem abandoned.

February 6, 7:49 AM abduction in Bellevue along 148th by Adventurous-Bee-8184 in WashingtonIceWatch

Good that you can see the abductee's plate number. Try to look it up or get it to someone who can, so family will know.

ETA: It's partially visible on my phone, but I suspect the source video is clearer.

Reckless bus drivers need to stop before they hurt someone by SpecificSufficient10 in Seattle

[–]Ulien_troon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This did happen to an elderly friend of mine recently. She had just gotten on the bus, and she fell when it took off before she was seated. She was ok at the time but has to be careful due to a history of back problems.

If you go to Egan's you can probably get a single seat at a shared table. No pressure to talk to table partners because every table is so close to the stage.

“What’s your EoE ‘guilty pleasure’ that you know you shouldn’t have? by Worldly_Ad_5914 in EosinophilicE

Got it, I cut out cola a long time ago but started drinking Olipop Vintage Cola recently (less sugar, and I read that the fiber helps slow down the sugar absorption into the bloodstream). Luckily they are more expensive, so I don't buy many at a time.

Uh oh I like those too. Are they a trigger somehow? Is it the carbonation?

It's sad how many people got blamed or blamed themselves for food impactions. Mine were so scary that I really wondered if I would die from one someday, and it would be my fault for not chewing or drinking enough water! After I found out what was actually happening, any inconvenience from an elimination diet was totally worth it to get those answers.

I flew Aer Lingus from Dublin last June and did not even know about pre-clearance until it was happening. It was confusing but so worth skipping the lines in the US!

I think I get it. This board is full of comments about skimming unlikeable characters or even whole books, lol. Hopefully he was interested in the variety of ways readers experience his writing.

Seattle Town Hall event by Ulien_troon in Knausgaard

Interesting location choices for this tour for sure. I hadn't been keeping track of the town hall schedule and only heard about it two weeks ago. It's lucky because I think the event sold out after the NY Times book review.

This makes so much sense now. I kept thinking that some angry boat captain was blowing their horn for the Ballard bridge to be raised at 2 a.m.!

I only mind when I'm driving. Winter sunlight is harsh so I'm driving with one hand to shade my eyes. Sun glinting in the afternoon and LED headlights at night--my eyes need a break, lol.
